Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My live-in carer was originally coming to support me in looking after my husband while my son and his family were on holiday in Spain for 2 weeks. As it turned out, my husband, who is 88, has Alzheimer's and is very frail, fell and broke his hip in July, and by the time the carer came he had been in
hospital and then moved to an assessment bed in a care home. My son still wanted the carer to come and support me while he was away as I was exhausted and vulnerable after 5 years of caring for him at home.
So the carer arrived and we got on really well from the start. She did all the driving, to give me a break, visited the care home with me every day and was proactive in talking to the nursing staff, taking Brian into the garden to eat his lunch and get some fresh air, and interact with him, which was so helpful. She did all the cooking and washing up, took us for trips out (which I hadn't been able to have) and was all-in-all a wonderful companion, and I really missed her when she left.

Got an absolutely lovely live in carer for my mum for 2 weeks after she had a long stay in hospital
Couldn't do enough for her & gave me such peace of mind as I couldn't be there.
Would throughly recommend.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.5 (8.500) out of 10 for Eleanor Live-Well is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.5 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Eleanor Live-Well is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Eleanor Live-Well is based on 2 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 = 3.5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
