We have been using this service since December 2024, apart from a few teething problems at first I now find it quite good. The staff are very helpful and friendly but very overworked. The office staff sometimes causes problems with the allocation of visiting times of carers, but overall the service
is good.
Reply from Eleanor Healthcare Group, Lewisham Branch at Eleanor Nursing & Social Care Ltd - LewishamThank you for sharing your honest feedback . We really appreciate it. We're glad to hear that things have improved over time and that you're finding the service helpful overall. We know how important consistency is, and we understand your concerns about scheduling and how stretched the team can sometimes be. I am writing to you because I did have a girl do my shopping but didn't go to the shop I like. I have a home help and they don't care for me or take care of me when I ask them to do my shopping. I find them don't go to the shop I like a certain supermarket not have a good girl that does my shopping.
I like a certain supermarket if I can get the service. I used to get 3 hour a week for shopping and now I get 1 hour a week. I gave them mini cab money like £11.00 to come back from the shop w. When the care is good I do not mind paying for the mini cab fare the care supervise me as I take medicine. I hope you can understand this letter

I am a client of Eleanorecare.I would like to tell about my current unpleasant experience. I have had a care for about 6,5 years. For the first 4,5 years the personal care was very good. But for the last 2 years everything has changed. We do not have rotas. So we do not know who will come and when.
Also the office started to take very unprofessional carers. On Saturday 6 December 2025 the carer came to me for the first time. She didn't know what to do; in a jacket, without a uniform. I asked her to leave. She did not. I shouted. She phoned the office to complain. They phoned me from the office and pleaded with me to leave her because everybody else was sick or on an annual leave. i agreed for once. I asked the girl to heat up my food in the microwave. She did and left. About 7 hours later I came into the kitchen and saw that the sink was completely blocked. It is still blocked now no matter how I tried to unblock it. Now I have to call a plumber. The tablecloth was dirty and filthy.
Reply from Eleanor Healthcare Group, Christchurch Team at Eleanor Nursing & Social Care Ltd - ChristchurchThank you for your feedback. We're really sorry to hear that your experience hasn't met expectations. We take all feedback seriously, and your concerns have been noted. A member of our team will be in touch with you shortly to follow up and discuss things further.

The personal carers especially Barbara and Alice who treat my mother with dignity and care with a cheerful and lighthearted start to the day. Lakshina, Louise, Josephine and Zahra are also my mum's favourite carers that make my mum's start to the day less clinical.
Reply from Eleanor Healthcare Group, Poole Team at Eleanor Nursing & Social Care Ltd - PooleThank you so much for your lovely words. It's wonderful to hear how much of a difference the care team has made to your mum's daily routine - bringing warmth, dignity, and a bit of lightness to her mornings. That personal touch is what we always hope to offer, and we're so glad it's being felt. We truly appreciate your feedback.

My poor mum was diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer's in 2023 and due to her memory loss, required support at home with her medications and ensuring a hot meal was prepared. Social Services organised a care provider and Eleanor Care provided the home service for my mum. The carers looking after mum
are polite and kind and some of them went above and beyond to ensure my mum received the care she needed. Mum's condition has worsened sadly and her care package changed suddenly and we had to move to another care provider unfortunately. We were very sad to be leaving Eleanor Care. Thank you for everything you did for mum.

My live-in carer was originally coming to support me in looking after my husband while my son and his family were on holiday in Spain for 2 weeks. As it turned out, my husband, who is 88, has Alzheimer's and is very frail, fell and broke his hip in July, and by the time the carer came he had been in
hospital and then moved to an assessment bed in a care home. My son still wanted the carer to come and support me while he was away as I was exhausted and vulnerable after 5 years of caring for him at home.
So the carer arrived and we got on really well from the start. She did all the driving, to give me a break, visited the care home with me every day and was proactive in talking to the nursing staff, taking Brian into the garden to eat his lunch and get some fresh air, and interact with him, which was so helpful. She did all the cooking and washing up, took us for trips out (which I hadn't been able to have) and was all-in-all a wonderful companion, and I really missed her when she left.
Reply from Tara Gunn, Registered Manager at Eleanor Live-WellDear Beryl, Thank you so much for your lovely words. We aim to be as flexible as we can when supporting our clients, whether it be for changing care needs or circumstances. We are delighted to hear that by having our carer you were able to have some well-deserved support and your family having peace of mind whilst away. With kind regards from all of us at Eleanor Live-Well.

The level of attention towards my wife varies greatly dependant on the people that attend her, some have a lot of empathy and have a connection with her and with some carers there is none of that, a Client with severe Alzheimer's needs constant reassurance. Some of the Carer's perform a high quality
visit but some just seem to rush the activity without setting any standard, I would criticise the Eleanor management for not auditing the quality of care quality of their staff. The timing of the care visits can be erratic especially the morning ones invariably they are late, they do not seem to have sufficient travel time allotted in their schedule. My overall feeling:- it's better the devil you know.
Reply from Eleanor Healthcare Group, Christchurch Team at Eleanor Nursing & Social Care Ltd - ChristchurchThank you for taking the time to share your feedback and we truly appreciate your honesty. We're sorry to hear that your experience has felt inconsistent at times. We understand how important it is for care to be delivered with empathy, especially in situations that require extra reassurance and patience. Following your feedback, we met to discuss your concerns in detail, and we're glad we were able to talk through things openly. We're pleased that you're happy with the majority of the care team and want to reassure you that your concerns have been addressed and the two individuals you mentioned are no longer part of our team.
We're committed to making sure care remains consistent, timely, and of a high standard and your feedback plays an important role in helping us do that. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts and for continuing to work with us.
