ABC Care Newport

I am the Responsible individual for ABC Care Newport with a level 3 qualification in Health and Social care( working toward leadership and management) and background in business management.
Caring has always been my passion, but having my children at a young age meant i initially followed a career in business and customer service to provide stability for my family.
Through this i gained valuable experience in leadership, organization and compliance.
As my children grew older, i was able to move into the care sector which has always been my dream, and i am now able to combine my management experience with my genuine commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
I am passionate about my role, and am often undertaking many courses to further better my knowledge and provided full support to all our staff and service users.

My Children have better social lifes than me, so hobbies include Gymnastics, swimming, football and Boxing, you will catch me cheering them on.
I am a hugely into travelling and am slowly completing my bucket list of holidays. Conversations with our service users are my favourite and i value the opportunity to listen, learn and connect through their travel stories and personal experience.

I have in excess of 25 years’ service within the social care framework and achieved my social care qualifications in 2006.

I am passionate to deliver a quality and safe delivery of service to all those with assessed needs within a person centred and holistic way but to also recognise and value the people who deliver these services whether paid or unpaid.

I strive to support these people and promote their compassion and empathy within the wider community ensuring awareness of the important roles these people engage in and how important they are in our society.

With this in mind I believe we must strive to deliver the safest and quality provision of service to all those with identified needs

I have vast experience within social care management and operational matters ensuring full compliance of legislative standards are adhered to at all times.

I have managed service managers and support teams throughout my whole career.

I adopt the principles and values that I work in a people focused service and that to get the best out people and a workforce you must identify good work but to address matters that are not working swiftly and in a timely manner.

This I feel is paramount if a quality provision of service is to be delivered and evidenced to all.

My hobbies are travelling and I have travelled the world exploring different cultures and ways of life that help me understand diversity which now plays a major role within delivery of care.

My Name is Aimee, and I am the senior carer for ABC Care Newport.
I have over 20 years of experience in social care and have delivered care in nursing and residential homes as well as out in the community. I currently hold my Level 2 and am working towards obtaining my Level 4 in leadership and management.
I am a very caring individual with a bubbly attitude and always strive to provide the best person-centred care possible.
I have undertaken many courses during my career, including respite, palliative, dementia and catheter care.
My hobbies include spending time with my family and friends, days out, and holidays.

I was drawn to care following my father’s ill health and the recent loss of my mum, experiences that shaped my empathy and person-centred approach.

I’m dedicated to helping individuals maintain their independence, well-being, and quality of life.

My name is Suma and i have dedicated the last few years to my passion for caring.
I believe in caring for people from the bottom of my heart and i find great joy in the lessons and stories i learn from those i support.
