Right at Home Southampton & New Forest

Hello, my name is Kev Popat, and I am the Managing Director and Registered Manager of Right at Home Southampton and New Forest.

Right at Home Southampton and New Forest exists solely to improve the lives of those we care for, not merely maintaining their quality of life, but with a genuine focus on improvement.

I truly believe that everyone deserves the right to quality care, the same sort of care that I would want my Gran to receive. And nothing but the best would suffice for my Gran. Likewise, nothing but the best should suffice for any member of your family.

I’m fortunate to have been brought up in a joint family home, so I spent most of my early years with my grandparents whilst my parents were working hard to secure a future for my brother and me. I have so many fond memories of these initial years, mostly drinking tea and eating biscuits.

Imagining my Gran receiving care from someone who has no interest in her is the reason I’m here today.

There is no better feeling in the world than making someone’s day. The team we are putting together will be making people’s days every single day.

As Operations Director, I manage the day-to-day running of the business to ensure effective planning and overall efficiency. I also visit services on site to supervise and support middle management.

I lead on recruitment, and I am responsible for addressing questions and concerns from staff, resolving issues, and identifying areas where we can improve and streamline our service.

I am passionate about ensuring we remain fully integrated within the local community we serve. We are always looking for opportunities to get involved with fayres, fetes, charities, sponsored events, coffee mornings and volunteering.
