Westmorland Homecare is a unique service set up originally by two doctors with a passion for community home care service. Their vision is to change the way home care is delivered by making a positive difference to people's lives every day. They want to provide the best care it is possible to provide and want all their clients to be happy with their support.
Staff help people to stay happy, healthy and active at home by providing a comprehensive range of services. From a couple of hours per week for companionship and shopping to 24-hour personal care at home, they will build a tailor-made care package for each client.
Staff are really passionate about changing the way care is delivered and doing something really special. They are proud to have recruited a wonderful team of caring, compassionate people who do the job because they love helping people in their hearts.
They founded Westmorland Homecare on traditional values and are passionate about providing the highest quality care. Their mission is to change the lives of people in their community, both clients and staff, by creating something really special.

PERSONAL CARE
From assistance with personal hygiene and washing, getting dressed in the morning and ready for bed at the end of the day, and just about everything else in between, the care staff at Westmorland Homecare are highly trained to provide the best personal care and support our customers’ needs.
COMPANIONSHIP
Nobody should ever feel lonely or isolated, especially single older people. Having someone who can call in every day, a friendly and familiar face, can help keep loneliness at bay. Our companionship offering can help with the shop, attending social events or appointments with a GP.
DEMENTIA CARE
Our work with dementia friends has helped us develop bespoke training for the Westmorland Homecare staff to truly understand what it is like to live with dementia. We provide excellent dementia care, with personalised care plans and ongoing investment in specialist training for our staff.

Hello! I’m Katie. I am the Care Manager here! I have always had a passion for working in care and wanting to make a difference to people’s lives, and in 2019 I moved to Cumbria and joined Westmorland Homecare as a Care Co-ordinator. My journey with the company has been truly incredible, and I have really been made to feel part of the family. I am thrilled to have progressed within the company, with the support of my directors, to where I am now. Managing the service in Ulverston is something I am incredibly proud of.
Outside of my work life, I live in Ulverston with my partner. I also have 2 boys, who keep me busy!
