As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you’ll provide high?quality, person?centred support to people in their own homes, travelling from visit to visit and making a meaningful difference throughout the day. You’ll offer practical care alongside kindness, reassurance and companionship, supporting a variety of individuals to remain independent, safe and comfortable in their own homes.

The Role

As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you’ll support clients in their own homes across Weymouth and the surrounding areas, delivering high?quality, person?centred care that helps people live safely, comfortably and independently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering personal care and practical support in line with individual care plans

• Prompting or administering medication safely and appropriately

• Preparing meals and supporting hydration and nutrition

• Providing companionship, reassurance and emotional support

• Supporting people to regain or maintain independence following illness or hospital discharge

• Assisting with daily routines and encouraging active involvement wherever possible

• Travelling between clients’ homes using a company pool car, with planned time between visits to rest, recharge, or enjoy the local area

Every visit matters. Your support will play a vital role in helping people remain confident, independent and cared for in the place they call home.

• Have a full UK Driving Licence (no car needed, as pool car's provided)

• Able to work every other weekend

Previous experience in care is welcomed but not always essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided to the right candidates. What matters most is your willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to supporting people to live safely and independently.
