Complex Live-In Carer – £14.50 per Hour

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and experienced Live-In Carer to provide 1:1 care and support to an individual living in their own home.

This is a rewarding role supporting someone with complex care needs, while also providing companionship and helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide support with:

• Personal care and grooming
• All activities of daily living
• PEG feeding and nutrition
• Medication support
• Suprapubic catheter care
• Moving and handling using appropriate equipment
• Communication and supporting the individual to express their needs
• Companionship and social interaction
• Maintaining a safe, comfortable and respectful home environment

The individual is very sociable, enjoys conversation and has a great sense of humour. They enjoy spending time with friends and family, going shopping and having a good chat with their carer.

Communication can sometimes be affected by fatigue, so patience, understanding and the ability to recognise non-verbal communication are particularly important.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in complex care and/or live-in care
• Confident supporting PEG feeding and catheter care, or willing to undertake appropriate training
• Patient, compassionate and attentive
• Comfortable with moving and handling
• Respectful of privacy, dignity and personal choice
• A good communicator with a warm and friendly personality
• Reliable and able to work independently
• Committed to providing person-centred care
