Reporting directly to the Registered Manager, the Service Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and quality of our care and support services. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and provide leadership and support to our Field Supervisor, Care Coordinators, Team Leaders and frontline care and support staff.

This is a hands-on management role for someone who understands adult social care, can confidently lead and support staff, and is committed to maintaining high standards of care, compliance and service delivery.

  • Providing leadership, guidance and support to the Field Supervisor, Care Coordinators, Team Leaders and care/support staff

  • Monitoring care plans, risk assessments, daily care records and medication documentation
  • Completing and overseeing audits, spot checks and other quality assurance activities
  • Identifying areas for improvement and ensuring agreed actions are implemented and followed through
  • Addressing poor practice and supporting staff to understand and maintain expected standards

  • Supporting recruitment, induction, training and ongoing staff development
  • Promoting person-centred care, dignity, choice, independence and positive outcomes for the people we support
  • Maintaining a visible management presence across our services and supporting teams in practice when required
  • Working collaboratively with the Registered Manager, Operations Manager and wider management team to support continuous service improvement

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience within domiciliary care and/or supported living
  • Good working knowledge of CQC requirements and the Fundamental Standards

  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence in addressing concerns and challenging poor practice appropriately
  • Good IT skills and confidence using electronic care management systems

The person we are looking for
