Weekend Care Professional – Home Instead Colchester
Part-time, weekends only | Colchester, Harwich, West Mersea and surrounding villages

At Home Instead Colchester, we are looking for caring and compassionate people who want to make a real difference to the lives of older people in our community. No experience is needed: what matters most is your kindness, reliability and a genuine wish to help others. We will give you the training and support you need to build a rewarding career in a role that is becoming increasingly professional.

• Support: our friendly office team is always on hand, including out of hours.
• Pay: £13.75 to £14.75 per hour
• Flexibility: weekend shifts that fit around your other commitments.

What you will be doing
Depending on each client’s needs, you may help with:

• companionship and conversation
• meal preparation and light housework
• personal care such as washing and dressing
• medication support
• shopping, errands and accompanying clients to appointments

What we are looking for

• A caring, patient and reliable nature
• Availability on Saturdays and Sundays [e.g. at least two weekends per month]
• A full UK driving licence and access to a car
• The right to work in the UK
• An enhanced DBS check (which we will arrange)
