We are looking for dedicated Care Assistants to join our growing team. Whether you have previous care experience or are looking to begin a rewarding career in care, we would love to hear from you. As a family-run agency, we understand the importance of providing not only excellent care to our clients but also support, security and opportunities for our staff. 

What we offer:

We believe in being transparent about pay, working hours and the opportunities available to our team. We currently offer two types of employment contracts, allowing you to build your experience and potentially progress to a guaranteed-hours contract after your probation period. 

1. Initial 5-hour Contract (First 3 months)

All new employees begin on our initial 5-hour contract for their first three months. Please don't worry - this does not mean you will only work five hours per week! It simply means that we guarantee you a minimum of five hours per week, with the opportunity to work additional hours depending on client needs and availability, 

Pay rates:

- Weekdays: £13.50 per hour

- Weekends: £15.50 per hour

This initial period allows you to settle into the role, gain experience with our clients and demonstrate your skills before becoming eligible to apply for a guaranteed-hours contract. 

2. Guaranteed-Hours Contracts - More Security, More Stability!

Following a successful completion of your probation period, all employees have the opportunity to apply for a guaranteed-hours contract. Contracts are available from 10 to 40 guaranteed hours per week, depending on your availability and the hours you wish to work. 

With a guaranteed-hours contract, you receive payment for your contracted weekly hours, even if you work fewer hours than usual due to circumstances such as; a client being admitted to hospital or going into respite care. 

For example: If you have a 40-hour guaranteed contract but only work 35 hours that week because a client is in hospital or respite, you will still be paid for your full 40 contracted hours.

Pay rates:

- Weekdays: £14.00 per hour

- Weekends: £14.00 per hour

Our guaranteed-hours contracts are designed to provide greater financial security and peace of mind, giving you confidence in your weekly income. 

Additional Pay and Benefits:

We value the time and effort our staff put into delivering excellent care. Therefore, all employees receive:

- Travel Time: £13.00 per hour

- Mileage Allowance: 35p per mile

- Bank Holiday Pay: £20.00 per hour

- Paid for DBS and internal training

- Training paid at minimum wage.

These benefits apply to all employees, regardless of which contract they are on. 

The Role Of A Care Assistant:

As a Care Assistant, your responsibilites may include:

- Providing compassionate, person-centred care and support.

- Supporting clients with personal care while maintaining their dignity, privacy and independence.

- Assisting with daily living activities and household tasks where required.

- Supporting clients with meal preparation and other everyday needs.

- Providing companionship and emotional support.

- Following individual care plans and safeguarding procedures.

- Recording care provided and reporting any concerns appropriately. 

- Helping clients remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes.
