  • Help our customer get out into the community, enjoying days out and trips
  • Follow the care plan closely and keep clear, accurate records
  • Promote safety, independence and choice in everyday decisions

What you get

  • £13.46 per hour, rising to £13.66 per hour at weekends
  • Sleep-in nights paid at the same hourly rate
  • 24 hours per week, part time, permanent
  • A regular pattern with the same customer and small team
  • Paid shadow shifts until you and the team feel ready
  • Specialist training in PEG feeding and communication support
  • Blue Light Card and staff referral bonus
  • Support Worker of the Month and annual recognition
  • Qualified Mental Health First Aiders, social events and wellbeing support
  • 24/7 on-call support

What you need

  • Previous care experience (essential), ideally in complex care or learning disability support
  • Willingness to train in specialist skills, including PEG feeding
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • The right to work in the UK

It would be great if you also have experience of PEG feeding, alternative communication, or a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.

Every shift, you help someone live the life they want, whether that is a trip to the shops, a walk or a day out somewhere new.

Due to the personal care needs of our customer, this vacancy is open to female applicants only. This is an occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. DBS checks and references will be carried out in line with government regulations and recruitment best practice. Bluebird Care Mid & West Cornwall is an equal opportunities employer.
