About us
Axiom Home Care is a CQC-registered domiciliary care provider based in Hemel Hempstead, delivering care at home across Dacorum for Hertfordshire County Council and private clients. We are part of the Axiom Care Group alongside The Old Rectory residential home.

We are looking for a Registered Manager to lead the service: someone who leads from the front, knows what good looks like, and builds a culture where staff feel supported and families feel heard.

You will have the systems most managers wish they already had: fully digital care planning, rostering, policy and audit systems, an in-house Training Facilitator, and a Provider who is present, engaged and invested in quality. Your job is to run a safe, honest, well-led service and to grow it.

What you will lead
• The safety and quality of care for our clients across Dacorum, including a growing private client base
• A team of care staff, seniors and office colleagues, with visible, approachable leadership
• Care planning, risk assessment and reviews on a leading digital care platform, backed by audits that genuinely test the service
• Relationships with clients and families, including regular home visits and reviews
• CQC registration and inspection readiness, and contract relationships with Hertfordshire County Council
• Safeguarding lead for the service, including embedding the Mental Capacity Act in daily practice

What we are looking for
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (achieved, or enrolled with completion within 18 months)
• Experience managing or deputising in a CQC-regulated adult social care service, ideally domiciliary care
• Working knowledge of the CQC fundamental standards and single assessment framework
• A track record of honest, credible audits that lead to evidenced actions
• Experience of supervision, appraisal and building a culture where staff can raise concerns
• Confident, patient communication with clients and families, including complaints
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Desirable: experience of local authority brokerage (ideally Hertfordshire), digital care systems, and growing private-pay home care

What we offer
• £40,000 – £44,000 depending on experience, inclusive of participation in the on-call rota

Selection process
Stage one: interview with practical scenarios (audit review, a difficult family conversation, mock inspection questions).
Stage two: a short presentation of your first 90 days and meeting the team.
