GoodOaks Homecare Barnet and Enfield has become the official sponsor of Age UK Barnet’s Dementia Café, supporting a well-established local space for people affected by dementia to come together.
The monthly café, delivered in partnership with Bridging London, takes place on the first Monday of each month from 2pm to 4pm at the Friends Meeting House on Leicester Road. It offers a relaxed and informal setting where people living with dementia, along with their families and carers, can spend time together and access support.
Each session includes refreshments, conversation and a range of activities designed to encourage participation and connection. A dementia advisor is also on hand to provide guidance and answer questions, offering reassurance for those navigating a diagnosis or supporting a loved one.
For the team at GoodOaks, supporting the café reflects a wider commitment to the local community. Alongside providing visiting care and live-in care, the focus remains on helping people stay connected and supported in ways that go beyond day-to-day care at home.
The Dementia Café continues to be a valued part of the local calendar, creating a consistent and welcoming space for those who attend.
Anyone interested in joining can contact Age UK Barnet’s dementia support team for further details.
