View Full Details of Bluebird Care New ForestAll care personnel turned up on time, and carried to any requests. The management dealt with an unexpected situation, requiring a change to the planned visits in an efficient and speedy manor. Generally a very satisfactory service.
This month especially, extra care was needed for Dad as I had a surgical procedure and was told to rest for a week at least. Carers covered the important hours of care for Dad and made it possible for me to stay in bed for some of the morning which was brilliant. The carers, on the whole, are very efficient and kind and enable Dad to stay in his home which is so important for his emotional well-being. Thank you Bluebird Care for all that you do.
My experience of Bluebird Care has been nothing but five-star from the start and I fully recommend them to anyone looking for care and support for elderly relatives in their own home. The initial meeting to discuss my parents' needs quickly established what was suitable and was conducted in a manner that gave them confidence in what was going to happen. Perhaps the best aspect of the care has been the ability to deal with changes required at short notice - emergency care swung into action, with my father going into hospital. Communication from Bluebird has been brilliant, giving me reassurance about the situation and that I was not alone. They have taken responsibility for medication collection, talked to the local surgery and pharmacist when needed. Dealing with elderly parents can be very stressful but I genuinely believe this is being addressed as a team effort with Bluebird - thank you.
I was very pleased with the excellent daycare I received from the carers after coming out of hospital. With their care and attention, I was able to regain self-confidence and independence much sooner than I expected. The appointed times were kept and I was impressed that l was notified beforehand when there was likely to be a delay. Good service all round.
My 99-year-old mother was not able to attend my daughter's wedding in person in July due to restricted mobility. Employees at Bluebird Care were excellent in enabling my mum to watch the service live-streamed at the office. They went out of their way to make the occasion special and I was very grateful for their care and kindness.
So far so good! Since my father's care plan started in early January, they have been reliable and punctual. The carers have been friendly and have made a noticeable difference to the cleanliness and tidiness of the property. It is reassuring to know that another pair of eyes is able to check on Dad's well-being each day.
I very much enjoy having Bluebird Care carers visit me every morning. I need to see and chat with someone every day. My priority is companionship, however, my daughter and son appreciate the practical work they do and Bluebird visits stop the family worrying about me. Having Bluebird carers enables me to stay in my own home and to garden. I would give up if I had to move into a residential home. There was only one Bluebird carer to whom I did not want to listen to so much and she was tactfully taken off my rota. Thank you very much.
All is value for money.
My mother has been using Bluebird Care since November after a stay in hospital. They have been fantastic with my mum from day one, they mainly stay and chat with her now as my mum has regained her independence in recent weeks. If the weather is nice they take her out for a walk in the afternoon. Everyone is friendly, kind and helpful.
Every carer that I've had has been very attentive and kind.
As ever, a positive conversation that focused on the needs of my mum. A good two-way conversation, including Mum. Thank you.
Live-in care. The key is the quality and consistency of the carers. Most carers sent by Bluebird were adequate. Three out of approximately thirty carers over an 18-month period were exceptional - one was extraordinary. The best three were the only ones who did more than one or two sessions. The inability of Bluebird to identify and retain repeat carers was frustrating - especially as the patient was neither difficult nor demanding. Of the three different branches of Bluebird that I have dealt with, this one was the most 'commercial' - quick to increase the intensity and amount of care - including Dom Care support. At times the focus seemed to be more about protecting the agency than providing basic care. Is it really necessary to insist on prescribed olive oil eardrops? Perhaps such madness is down to national regulations overtrumping common sense. After a total spend of nearly £250,000, it still did not feel as if the agency management 'valued' my aunt as more than a source of income.
We were very pleased with the care package provided for Mum. We thought all the carers were gentle, caring, professional, always very patient and very pleasant to deal with. We felt that the service provided by Bluebird was well organised. well documented and thorough. The sole reason for having to leave Bluebird was down to cost. The council were not willing to cover Mum's care cost charged by Bluebird. The only criticism we have, is that despite several requests, we were never given the link to the care app.
Bluebird Care gives us, as a family, reassurance and peace of mind that Dad is being supported and able to remain in the comfort of his own home. The carers are always bright and cheerful - their daily visits make a huge difference.
I've had Bluebird Care New Forest now for a year and am very happy with this provider. Overall, they meet my mother's care needs as double-ups morning and evening. It is challenging as my mother has advanced dementia.
Carers arrive promptly, they are friendly but professional and always have something interesting to talk about. Bluebird Care New Forest notify me if the carer is ever delayed by more than thirty minutes as agreed. My dogs are very important to me, the carers treat them with the same respect as they do with me and other members of my family. The office manager and her team are friendly and professional. Newsletters are informative and a nice extra. I would not hesitate in recommending Bluebird Care New Forest. My only complaint is with the app. From the client's point, it doesn’t allow access to carer notes or to leave messages, as with the old system. The letter introducing the system was unprofessional and insulting to carers in expecting clients to sign a screen after each visit to confirm the call had been done, I wrote to the owners about the wording but months later have not received a reply. Months on, the app still doesn't work from the client's point of view.
Bluebird Care are prompt and reliable. There is attention to care and respect for the client. If the carer is unable to attend, another carer is supplied. Would recommend Bluebird Care, New Forest.
Wonderful team in all respects.
Very good.
Very impressed with the manager and her team. They are very professional, caring and friendly, and everything you could ask for when having carers looking after a relative. Nothing is too much trouble for the manager as she goes above and beyond to help. I am so pleased I made the call to Bluebird as the care and the support they have shown my dad over the past few weeks have been excellent; the whole family are very pleased and reassured. We would recommend Bluebird to anyone who is looking for a care provider.
