My mother, herself 87, had been selflessly caring for my 86-year-old father, who had been living with cancer for the past two years. When it became obvious that they both needed support, we reached out to Helping Hands on a friend's recommendation. Over the next two months, as Dad became weaker,
Helping Hands were outstanding, not just in terms of the quality of care, but also in the speed and efficiency with which they adapted to Dad's changing needs. Eventually, they helped us to provide end-of-life care for Dad. During this time, two carers would visit him three times a day. Without exception, every single one of them was kind, compassionate, and brilliant at their job, from the youngest to the more experienced. We trusted them implicitly and looked forward to welcoming them into our home. At a heartbreaking time for our family, Helping Hands were our friends as well as Dad's carers, and we will always be grateful.

I have used Helping Hands to care for my elderly cousin for 15 months. Throughout this time they have been very helpful and willing to accommodate the variability in our care needs. Last weekend I was away for a short break when I received a call to say that my cousin was on the floor. The staff
member present was superb. They remained with my cousin ensuring she was safe, called 101, and waited until Paramedics arrived.
During the day I was updated by staff as to my cousins condition. Additional visits in the evening were arranged. It was clear that all the staff clearly cared about my cousin and I was reassured that she was in safe hands.

Becoming a carer for your wife is hard, especially when it happens in your late 70s. Not only do you see her mental capacity diminishing but you can do less and less for yourself. Helping Hands provides support for both of you. Not only do they provide friendship for your wife but they enable you,
for a few hours each week, to do something for you in the knowledge that your wife is in safe hands.

I have always found the team at Helping Hands Home Care to be very friendly, courteous and professional. They have always accommodated our requests and at times have gone above and beyond. There is always someone at the end of the phone to offer us advice with our care package.
