Latest Reviews for First Choice Home Care (Halesworth)

Very satisfactory initial service, but now requires two carers as my husband's health issues have worsened and now bedridden. Currently, First Choice cannot offer two carers. Therefore, we are searching for alternatives to assist. Seeking palliative nursing to replace care my husband needs ie; end
of life fast track remit.

Very upset at the lateness of morning calls, as I have a night catheter. I rang before I got my breakfast, coming back at 12:30 - 1 PM for lunch. I am not hungry for a proper meal. Just having a sandwich is not good for my health. Have asked for tasks to include a reminder to take my meds and also
morning & evening cream to be put on my feet. But hasn't been done.

First Choice were brilliant in accommodating my care needs after a stay in hospital and adapting my care package to suit my needs.

After covid and a stroke in March/April 2020, I was left hemiplegic. After hospital and a rehab ward, I came home and needed full domestic care by the council service. Gradually I learnt to use the toilet and clean myself and be fed and clothed etc. by my wife. We were then obliged to call a private
carer so chose First Choice. Therapists had given me the methods to learn walking and arm use. The First Choice carers ably continue to help and supervise these exercises and ensure I have a safe shower twice a week. All in all, excellent service and all carers do a great job.

The service provided enables my 93 year old mother to live in her own home. The twice-daily visits provide reassurance that she is managing and her needs are met.
My mother worries about the staff when they are running late - not for her sake, but for theirs. Occasionally she is not sent a
timetable, which can prove inconvenient, but in the grand scheme of things, this is only a minor point.

A BIG thank you to all the lovely care staff from this agency. Everyone has been so helpful and supportive in providing in house care for my 90-year-old aunt. The standard of care, punctuality of visits and the patience of the carers has been excellent. Feedback to me on a regular basis was
important as I live a long way away from my aunt. From my experience with this agency, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you all for your kindness and support.
