View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Chichester)Dad enjoys his visits from all the carers and has some lovely conversations with the carers. His house is much cleaner and all the usual chores (eg taking the bins out, washing the sheets etc) are always done when required. I really appreciate the visit reports that the carers write everyday so that I can know how Dad is doing and if there is anything I need to do to help him. Thank you, Helping Hands.
A particular member of staff from the Havant Team did a great job helping my mother understand that care in the home is a benefit and not an intrusion. We agreed a slow start so that mum could get used to the idea that she needed help. The lady that came to help mum was brilliant and built a trusting relationship with mum that meant several months later, when the time came to increase the level of care, mum accepted the help gratefully. I was kept informed of how the visits went and what we needed to do to help mum. The team were professional and always had mums care at the core of their activity. Thank you all for everything you did.
We never thought that dad would accept home care, and he was in such a bad state before he went into respite. On coming out of respite, we have engaged Helping Hands home care and are so happy with the service. Dad is happy with the carers, he is clean, well dressed, fed properly, has shopping done when needed and his flat is spotless. This is such a complete contrast to how things were when he was at home alone. He was not coping at all. Now dad seems happy and content, and it is such a weight off our minds. We are so grateful.
The staff are very caring and respectful of my mum. I think my mum has benefited from having the company of others more than anything else and this has helped with her dementia. My mum is very happy with the support she is receiving.
We have worked with several care agencies over the years and Helping Hands is definitely the best. My mother has very complex needs and has received excellent (live-in) care over the 2.5 years she has been with Helping Hands. It has given me so much peace of mind to know that she is being well looked after. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Helping Hands to anyone looking for care. I am beyond grateful.
My dad has been supported by Helping Hands Chichester for a long time, and his care has been excellent! The carers are kind and skilled, and the office staff are always helpful. I have recommended the company to several friends, and they've been pleased with the support.
My mother is very happy with the carers and enjoys chatting with them. She likes to be encouraged to do as much as she can herself. She finds change difficult so continuity of carers is very important to her. The review went well and Mum was able to express her needs and routine, and felt listened to.
From the initial meeting and assessment Helping Hands were friendly, punctual, and dependable. They were hard working and kept busy throughout their session. On a couple of occasions when they arrived to find Mum had suffered a fall, the Carers acted swiftly to contact emergency services and stayed with her, comforting her and applied first aid when needed. They were all polite, hardworking and reliable. They went beyond their duty on many occasion to make sure Mum was comfortable. The support and communication provided by the office was also first class. I have recommended Helping Hands to several of my friends who have also been delighted with their excellent service.
I can't thank this company enough for all that they have done for my mum, not only do they help her in anyway she requires but they also take the time to sit down and talk to her. She thoroughly enjoys her visit from the carer. High recommend this company.
The Helping Hands Chichester team looked after both of my parents. My mother had advanced Parkinson's disease and the team looked after her for 2 1/2 years, including end of life care. They were always considerate, respectful and cheerful and she looked forward to seeing them on each visit. Some of them were almost like members of the family at the end and we were so touched when most of the team came to her funeral. They continued to visit my father regularly, which was great for him as they were mainly the same people who had cared for my mother so he knew them all. They were also able to provide overnight care at extremely short notice a few occasions, which was a massive help as I am out of the UK for most of the time. Unfortunately it eventually became too difficult for my father to live alone and we transferred him to residential care, but Helping Hands meant that he was able to stay at home for as long as possible. I would absolutely recommend them.
