Alexander House failed to do the assessment before they started, if they had done the assessment they would have realised they couldn't provide the care that was required. My husband was in a hospital bed at home, and could pass away at any time, he was end of life. From day one until my husband
was taken into a hospice, untrained carers frequently kept attending even though manageress assured me after the first disastrous visit, only trained staff would attend. Won't detail all that went wrong other than to say I would never recommend Alexander House to anyone. Carers were pleasant (excludes manageress) so I have given 4 star. Care/support, have given two, that's because the carers, even those who were not trained did try their best but trying was not good enough when my husband was in tremendous pain, sometimes hallucinating or very confused, often had to try and instruct some carers what to do and how to do it.
