View Full Details of Home Instead Sutton ColdfieldHome Instead have now been looking after our Dad, who has Alzheimer's, for about three years. We began initially with carers coming in a couple of times a day and now they provide 24-hour live-in care. From the beginning we have been impressed by their professional, understanding approach (both from the admin team and the carers) and also the respect with which they have treated our Dad. The carers we have now are truly extraordinary - so kind and attentive and at the same time adapting to our Dad's needs and the evolving situation with humour and compassion in equal measure. In a short time we have become very fond of them and are so grateful for their help, which provides a great relief to us and allows our Dad to continue living with dignity in his home, which he is very attached to.
Thank you a particular staff member and team for giving me great peace of mind ! I'm so happy I contacted you in regards beginning some companionship care for my mum. Mum is very happy with the friendly , caring company shown to her and her trip to the memory cafe each Tuesday . I would highly recommend your services to anyone reading this review. I've no regrets .
You are especially useful for assisting with my bathing. Always enjoy these bathroom visits. Cleaning services home adequate, but then this is not your speciality. Quite happy with standard cleaning achieved.
I couldn't ask for better carer's than I have coming to me. I was reluctant at first because I felt mentally it would take away my independence. It was my physical conditions I really needed to look at. I'm so glad I made the move to HomeInStead and my special carer's. There has been some communication issues between office staff and carer's or between office staff themselves. Acknowledgement of support truely required has been taken on board and being implemented. I hope this is to be the case moving forward with all Client's. Carer's do need to read some of what other carer's have put down in their Client's Report Log for previous days as it gets frustrating repeating what has been happening previous days. Communication at all levels and dealt with in different ways, telephone, email etc. Not expecting perfection but would help support Client's and their families.
Home Instead and their staff have been great so far. My Father is reluctant of care, and the fact its the same faces for an hour, means it feels less like "care" and more personal. Only a couple of weeks in, but so far excellent.
I simply cannot praise Home Instead enough. They care, twice daily, for my brother, who has multiple physical and intellectual disabilities. They have transformed his quality of life with their kindness and professionalism, and given me peace of mind.
From the very start of our dementia journey Home Instead have been there for us. Always on hand, such a comfort and reassurance. Very reliable, excellent carers, always smiling, office staff friendly too. Will endeavour to provide extra care at short notice. Mum loves them and has built up a friendship with them over the years which is lovely to see. I would definitely recommend them to anybody taking the same heart breaking journey that we have been on and still are travelling. Well done to everybody concerned and thank you so much.
Home Instead have cared for my Mum and Dad across a range of venues including their home, hospitals and care homes. They are incredibly professional and they work collaboratively with you to ensure that your relatives get what they need when they need it. They work as a team and ensure that vital information is shared to make sure that you and other members of the team can always act in the best interests of your relatives. They give us total reassurance that we are doing the best that we can for our relatives and peace of mind that our relatives are receiving the best experience possible. I would unequivocally recommend them. And one last thing, the care professionals are lovely people that you can trust and rely on.
I cannot speak highly enough of the carers from Home Instead. My relative has just returned home from a two week hospital stay whilst I was unfortunately out of the country. They have all been so kind and made sure one of them visited him and sorted out any problems that arose. This helped him enormously and reassured him that he had not been left alone. He has been a client for several years now and is so fond of his carers as nothing is too much trouble for them, and they are all extremely kind and thoughtful. My relative was reluctant to have care in the first instance but would not be without them now. We cannot thank them enough for all they do and we are very grateful.
Home Instead came highly recommended to us and I can see why! From our initial phone conversation with the team, our request was treated swiftly and efficiently and a care package was soon arranged. From the onset, we were particularly impressed that the lady visited us to get to know the family (and mom as a person) thus ensuring she could allocate the appropriate carer team for our specific needs. Unfortunately, we didn't foresee the rapid decline in health and increased care needs for Mom in such a short period of time, which forced us to re-think a longer-term plan, however, Home Instead were more than accommodating and continued to provide Mom's care in the interim period whilst the situation was sorted out. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and the carers were adaptable, punctual and showed respect, kindness and compassion at all times. Whilst we only used their services for a short period the care mom received in that time was excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.
I have been using Home Instead for several years now and recommend them very highly. The carers and administration staff have been very professional and have always cared for my auntie's needs with utmost care. The management have always listened and actioned any issues we have had and to this point has enabled my auntie ( diagnosed with Alzheimer's) to remain at home with her treasured comforts. Many Thanks.
Home Instead have been providing care for my elderly mother for quite some time now; the two carers allocated to her are very kind, trustworthy and carry out all their duties listed in her care plan with due diligence and attention; always making my mother feel very comfortable. They go beyond the call of duty being ‘chatty and welcoming’ during their call-outs. I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead.
Very pleased with the whole experience. Carers are very pleasant, always on time and go the extra mile, no complaints at all.
What an amazing team of carers and office staff. Home Instead came recommended to us through another service and Mum has taken 'the ladies'so well. I have met many of them throughout the last few months and the care that they provide is exceptional, understanding Mum's rare form of dementia and behavioural needs. The office team are wonderful too, particularly two staff members who are so accommodating when we need to change plans or routines. Thank you for making all of our lives a little easier!
I engaged Home Instead Sutton Coldfield over a year ago, initially to provide some companionship to my elderly father when I am unable to visit. Initially reluctant to engage with people outside the family, he has got to know the ladies and has benefited greatly from their support, help with light domestic chores and sometimes just by having a chat. It has been invaluable to me to know Dad is being supported on days I cannot be there.
We go abroad on a regular basis, Home Instead always accommodate the extra calls! The care for the client is always outstanding, professional and has high standards. They always look out for her holistically and make sure all her needs are met.
All the Carers and staff back in the office are excellent. Carers are professional and respectful. They arrive on time and the office is excellent at contacting if there is a sudden change to the carer for the day. I have had no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to friends. First class!
We have been using Home Instead for a number of years, for my grandmother firstly and then for my mum. The carers have always been great, they get stuck into whatever needs doing and offer a lot of support. They always arrive with a smile on their face and are so friendly even though my mum struggles with communication.
I did a lot of research regarding private carers for my mother-in-law and came across Home Instead. I liked the fact that they had won awards and our experience all round has been that they deserved those awards as we have no complaints whatsoever about any carer who has visited. Every one of them does all they can and beyond to help my mother-in-law. They are respectful, exceptionally patient and kind and will all go that extra mile to make sure she is safe and cared for. Communication from this company is excellent. I do not hesitate in writing this review as I am so pleased with our find. Thank you so much to all at Home Instead.
My aunt has been diagnosed with mixed dementia and we wanted a daily call from Home Instead to do a 'safe and well check' and also cook her a hot meal. Although my aunt is fiercely independent and at first she thought it was odd having someone come to her house, she soon got to know the ladies and looked forward to their daily call. The carers are always on time, friendly and helpful and always give a full report of their visit. On a Friday they take her to a friendship club, which my aunt loves, and on a Wednesday the carer will also take her to the hairdressers. My aunt always says how lovely the ladies are and it's so nice to have their company. The support that Home Instead gives, means my aunt can still enjoy living in her own house, but with some help and this is reassurance for us family members, particularly me as I live 267 miles away! Very pleased with Home Instead and would recommend their services as the carers are professional, friendly and 'caring.'
