I'm delighted with the care provided to my mother by Horizon over the
last 2 years. The assessment meeting was very friendly, positive and
reassuring. The care put in place made a massive difference to the
quality of her life. All the carers were capable and kind. We had some
regular attendees and also many stand-ins covering holidays etc. They
were all fantastic and would have been welcome back again. There wasn't
a single one who we thought we wouldn't want to come back. Horizon seems
to have tapped into a rich seam of really lovely people. Fortunately, my
mother was mentally very well, with no signs of dementia, and she
enjoyed getting to know her carers who came from many different parts of
the world. She loved finding out about their background, and we viewed
them all as friends. When the time came for my mother's end-of-life
care, we were very eager for Horizon to provide that. They did a great
job in the difficult final week, making my mother's passing much easier.

It's now 12.00 and still without a carer. My mother is in tears and
desperate for help. As much as I want to help for the sake of dignity my
mother refuses until the carer arrives. Like I said this is not the
first time but may well be the last! Atrocious lack of professionalism.
I will be submitting a claim to the public health authorities to notify
them of this frustrating situation. Do not trust this company!
