My friend Ian, for whom I held Lasting Power of Attorney, was cared for by Home Instead (HI) from late 2020 until his death at home in September 2025. Over the course of nearly five years I found HI to be professional, well managed , and making a real effort to ensure Ian's safety and comfort. Ian
had dementia and as his health declined he became less and less able to do anything for himself. During his last few months he had to be fed and was doubly incontinent. At all times I observed that his live-in carers were sympathetic to Ian's needs and treated him with respect and compassion. He got to know them well and clearly responded to their attentions, which is notable because he was not someone to suffer fools gladly. They continued to provide this high standard of care right until the day Ian died.
I used to visit every week and found that Ian's house was always clean and tidy. His carers also made an effort to provide him with home-cooked food, which Ian really appreciated.

Home Instead was recommended by a neighbour and has provided valuable help at a time when I felt quite vulnerable but needed personal and other forms of care. I couldn't have asked for more considerate treatment from management and my lovely carer. She happily dealt with what was important to me,
caring for the cat and keeping the garden birds fed. All the help I have needed has been managed cheerfully and competently.

Carer is always on time, is cheerful and supportive. He is very willing to take client out in his wheelchair for a walk and a coffee.

Without exaggeration, my sister and I felt lost when our parents became poorly and needed more support. They lived together but separately and had different needs, so Home Instead stepped in. The office staff were always welcoming and nurturing, and the care team nurturing and knowledgeable. We had
them recommended to us from a neighbour who also sang their praises. Sadly, Dad has needed wraparound care best suited to a care home, but a heartfelt thank you to Home Instead for being our family for our family whenever or whatever we needed.

From the initial meeting to date, Home Instead have been wonderful with my mum's needs, understanding her life and working with my brother and I, communication with managers and care team has been outstanding and has positive outcomes always. Mum tells me the ladies that come to her home work very
hard, listen to her and always have a smile. Nothing is too much trouble, thank you - you know who you are!

All the carers are kind, considerate and come and go at designated times. They have pointed out potential problems which could be sorted very quickly. The office staff are also helpful and sort out questions quickly and efficiently. Thank yo to a great team.

Home Instead have proved to be of the greatest support to both my mother and myself in the last few months. From the very first instance of providing a carer just once a week to progressing up to 24 hour live in care over a period to time, they have been calm, supportive and utterly professional in
dealing with the changing situation. Each and every carer had individually been excellent - kind, caring and compassionate as well as being good at their job. The admin team have been knowledgeable, helpful, efficient and thoughtful and above all communicate well - ensuring all information updates are relayed quickly.
I can honestly say the care and support Home Instead have provided has been a life-saver for me. Enabling me to continue working in my job and knowing that my mother is in very safe, capable hands.
I would 100% recommend them to anyone considering care for a loved one, they could not be in better hands.

I have been asked to write this review. The care and management of my dads care is excellent and they have responded promptly to making changes to my dad's care plan as requested. They help with all supervising and administrating medication, cleaning and shopping and taking dad to medical
appointments. All the carers are polite and helpful. The manager is always happy to speak to the family. We are very happy with Home Instead.

Excellent attention to detail and care. Polite staff and good response time. Not exactly great value for money. Perhaps longer visit time or maybe 5 days paid for six visits. Have told friends and relatives am pleased and hope my money holds out.

The caregivers provide exceptional care to our Dad, treating him always with kindness and dignity, providing practical help and company: preparing freshly cooked brunches, lunches and evening meals to a very high standard and presenting in a really appetising way; carrying out cleaning tasks as
needed and seeing when this is the case without fail; providing Dad with great company, showing interest in what he has to tell them and asking questions, rotating his photo albums so that he can enjoy the memories that he can still access and having a good laugh with him. Dad actively enjoys seeing the caregivers and his life is enriched by their visits. For us, his children, we have precious peace of mind between our own visits.

Just started with Home Instead and have been very pleased so far with their care and follow-up. It is useful to be able to use the app to see the report from the carer following each session with dad as he has dementia and isn't always able to tell us what is happening. Very impressed with the
problem solving from the carer when faced with any difficulties and also that she spends time talking to dad about his interests as well as helping him with tasks in the house.

Since finding Home Instead, I have felt relieved and safe with their care. Their staff are fabulous. I have no complaints whatsoever. I realise, and I guess so must they, that our situation will deteriorate but I have every faith that our Angel will cope and very well. Thank goodness we found them
and our Angel/s. Big squeeze to all.
