From the first moment we contacted Aberness Care we were impressed by their level of professionalism and efficiency and how caring and personal they were with us.
We have only positive comments to make as we reflect on the high standard of care and support they have given my mother-in-law/mum and
us, in what is a challenging time due to her dementia diagnosis.
All the Carers treat her so well and show her respect as they patiently see to her needs. As a result she is very happy to have them in her home to help and support her and her initial apprehension has gone. We are very grateful for their kindness and first class care they provide daily.
We also must praise the Aberness Care management team and Receptionists for their high level of thoughtful communication - nothing is ever too much trouble for them and they are always available to answer any queries or questions.
So, we want to say thank you for your continuing care and compassion.

I have two regular carers who are very kind and helpful, Aga and Nicole and I look forward to them coming. They are very professional at their job and always willing to help. they are very reliable and I feel safer and able to enjoy my shower thanks to their help.

Aberness have been way better than any of the many care agencies we have tried. I like the fact I can always get through to a person quickly(very rare!), and that are very understanding and accommodating of requests. The carers and staff have a great deal more humanity than I have found with other
agencies, some of which were.much more expensive. The carers showed real interest and concern for my autistic son, and for the first time I feel I can go out knowing that they are would know what to do. I also see that they are good to their staff, and provide proper face to.face training for them - again unusual in my experience. Had given up finding an agency where people showed basic humanity and competence. Highly recommend

Aberness Care Ltd are a Godsend to me. They come in twice a week to shower my husband, they are so kind and it took all the stress away from me. I have just started trying a social visit once a month to allow me to go out for a short while and it is so good to get out for that short time.

I unfortunately fell and broke my leg and spent several weeks in A.R.I The day after I was discharged an Aberness Carer arrived first thing in the morning and helped me get up and washed and dressed . She then got my breakfast and medication and made the bed and tidied up before leaving. This care
continued through January and February and part way through March four times a day until I felt able to gradually manage myself . I found the carers excellent in helping me when I needed it but yet allowing me to gradually become more independent ,(supervising me to ensure I came to no harm .) I am now more or less independent and in fact driving .I credit Aberness Carers with the speed of my recovery and could not have asked for better . They were all so friendly and helpful .I would strongly recommend Aberness to anyone with the need for caring .

Aberness Care Ltd responded immediately to our request for care and again immediately when more visits were required. Dad's main carer is wonderful, a true blessing for us. She treats him like family, has fun with him while helping and encouraging him and making many helpful suggestions.

My Mum has been receiving daily help from carers at Aberness for the last 2 years. It was hard to realize it was time to start the process but we were led ever so gently by the staff at the Aberness office.
So much stress that my Dad was feeling has been alleviated and the twice daily visits for
dressing and showers have become a lovely part of the new routine as well as the social visits. The carers are like extra family members who bring joy and laughter into the house. They brighten every day and are able to cope with all the issues that dementia brings with empathy and professionalism.
We really don't know what we would do without them.

Mum needed overnight care. It was easy to arrange. They were very flexible. Most importantly the care Mum was given was superb.
The whole organisation was a delight to deal with and gave lots of advice on the subject of caring which clearly they are experts.
We, my siblings and I managed to get
a good night's sleep knowing our mum was safe and happy with the carer.

Having provided a very good level of care to my mother in her home for over 10 years. The excellent level of care her regular carers provided to Mum in the last months of her life, helped so much in making it possible for her to stay comfortably in her home and I cannot thank them enough.

We had a very caring team looking after my mum. Always cheery and happy to help. They were all sympathetic during my mum’s palliative care. We would definitely recommend Aberness to anyone who needs care.

Aberness give 24/7 to my niece whom I’ve been a legal guardian since last year. My niece moved into her own property in October, the staff are absolutely fantastic, they cover every aspect of her care she is treated with kindness, respect and dignity. Nothing is a bother. I know my niece is in very
safe and capable hands when I’m not around. Aberness makes sure I’m involved in everything my niece does from doctor appointments to taking her out, I get regular photos which I’m delighted with. Previous providers very seldom involved me in anything like that, so it’s a pleasure to say I have found the perfect provider for my niece and I can speak for my niece to say she loves all staff and is very happy. Management is great also I get on well with them and am kept well updated. Thank you everyone.

Aberness provided a care package very quickly when help was needed. Staff were present daily and we were kept up to date with timings. Overall the experience was okay, however, we did come across some issues. Not maintaining dignity at all times, and possibly not offering full service as
sheets/bedding/creams being applied wasn't done, unless we asked. Also, some concerns over client confidentiality. Issues raised with district nurse team as we felt care could be improved in some areas.

The care we have received has been exemplary. We couldn't manage without the care Aberness has provided. The carer has become one of the family and he goes above and beyond to help Dad. He has changed all our lives and we are privileged to have him.

I am very, very grateful to Aberness for the help they gave my wife, and support they gave me, over the few months at the end of her life. They were all very professional in their work and were pleasant people to have in our home who were very easy to get along with. In particular, the main carer,
as well as being a great help to both of us, also provided a lot of good advice to me to help me cope with the situation I was in. I would not have managed to keep my wife at home for so long without her.

The addition to our carer support team of the Aberness live-in carer over a weekend to look after my mother-in-law has been a very positive experience. Our Aberness carer gives 100% to the care of our mother and she herself looks forward to the weekend and the arrival of the Aberness carer. For us,
we get a break to recharge and face the future positively. Thank you Aberness for finding us the perfect carer-to-client match.

I am biased but since moving over to Aberness my life has enhanced beyond words. Management is extremely supportive and understanding and so kind and helpful.
The staff are excellent as well always putting their heart and soul into improving my life.
