View Full Details of Just Ask Care and SupportAs a relatively new client of Just Ask I have been very pleased and impressed by the prompt response to my request for assistance with home care for my elderly mum. At 96 years of age Mum was not entirely convinced that assistance was needed but she quickly settled into the new routine thanks to the no fuss care provided by the care team. We are both very grateful for the support provided.
Helpful, flexible and caring organisation. It can be difficult navigating how best to care for a loved one who you really want to be able to look after yourself but can't all the time due to other commitments. I've found Just Ask very good in helping fill this gap. Thank you to the team.
Their day to day care is excellent however every one at Just Ask goes above and beyond to help in those exceptional circumstances we find ourselves in from time to time. Cannot thank them all enough and really do not think we could cope without their help,
All the staff at Just Ask show compassion and give excellent care to mum, they are very professional in how they deal with my mum and all the family. This then allows the family to concentrate on the nicer side of when we visit mum.
We have been using Just Ask Care and Support for 18 months to ensure on an evening mum is well, has had her medication and her appliances are all switched off prior to going to bed. We had previously used Just Ask for the previous year to support dad on an evening but after he needed to go into care we decided to keep the continuity of the visits to help mum not feel as lonely on an evening. What a caring , friendly team they have who are professional and understanding of the difficulties mum has. It is reassuring for the family to know there isn't anything to worry about each night and that mum is safe and well. Mum does look forward to the visits and it helps to keep her confidence up chatting to non family members. Very grateful for everything Just Ask do to support mum and the family
From the manager, to all the carers employed by the company this a very compassionate and dedicated group of people. My mum has received tremendous support from the carers and she has bonded with them and trusts their care, in particular one of the staff members. They address all her needs with professionalism and care. Can't recommend the company enough.
My Aunt was diagnosed with dementia, it was obvious that she was forgetting to eat and had lost the ability to cook for herself. She has no offspring and her extended family managed short term but it was obvious that this was going to be difficult to maintain. Once a diagnosis is made a number of agencies become involved but early on it was established that she would have to self fund any care. We made numerous enquiries and an official source unofficially recommended Just Ask care and support. After an initial visit a care package was arranged and they have attended every single day since then including Bank Holidays and extreme winter weather. The ladies are all extremely friendly and professional and have ensured that an initially reluctant Aunt now looks forward to her visits. It's also important to the family to know that she is at least having a substantial meal and human interaction every day and also to have someone in a position to raise any concerns via daily updates.
Just Ask Care and Support have given my brother wonderful and caring support on a twice daily basis, since his release from hospital, with a diagnosis of terminal cancer. They are always bright and interactive, lifting my brother's spirit and, importantly allowing him to retain his dignity. My brother has greatly benefited from them bouncing through the door and helping him deal with his often confused state of mind. The management team are additionally very helpful in the administration and practical problems that frequently occur. I live some distance from my brother and knowing that this team is looking after him is a huge relief. Many thanks from the whole family.
Just Ask Care and Support have provided excellent support for my mum over several years, because of this mum has been able to stay in her own home for longer. They are incredibly reliable and have never let us down. Any problems, they are easy to contact and reply quickly. The carers have a challenging job but are kind and cheerful. Thank you Just Ask.
If anyone is looking for a care company in the Skipton area, Just Ask is excellent. My mum, who was adamant that she didn’t need carers, is more than happy to have a couple of visits every day and is extremely pleased with the care and attention she receives. Recently when Mum was suddenly taken ill, her carer arranged for an ambulance and stayed with her until the ambulance arrived, even though her shift had officially ended. It’s so lovely when someone goes the extra mile. Huge thanks to all the team.
Just wanted to say a big thank you for looking after my mum for the past 12 months, especially to the wonderful carers who have visited every day, and made life easier for me and my mum. A big thank you to those in the office too, who are always willing to listen and advise. Just Ask has been so caring, kind, and considerate at all times. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they would do everything possible to make life easy for my mum, who is now in a care home. I would fully recommend Just Ask to anyone, a brilliant care company to work with.
After a short stay in hospital & respite. Just Ask were recommended to care for my mother. I was dubious at first as mother “didn’t want anyone she didn’t know going into her house. I needn’t have worried. They go in 4 times a day and they are brilliant. She loves the company she gets from their visits and they look after her so very well. The carers and management are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Mother has been able to stay in her own home, has everything she needs and is cared for which is what she wanted. Mother is happy so I’m happy. I promise that you won’t regret using Just Ask for you loved ones care. Thank you so much.
My mum has recently moved into a care home but prior to that her care needs were met by Just Ask. As my mum's health deteriorated the number of visits she needed was increased and the carers enabled her to live independently for much longer than would have been possible without them. The carers were kind, caring, upbeat and professional. My mum came to regard them as friends. I particularly liked the software that enabled me to monitor my mum and be aware of any issues without constantly phoning. I would not hesitate in recommending Just Ask to anyone needing a care agency.
The carers at Just Ask Care and Support CIC have been wonderful at looking after Mum she has enjoyed their visits getting her up in the morning, showering when needed and making her lunch and doing any other tasks that need doing. Then arriving in the evening to assist her upstairs to bed. They have always been reliable, friendly and chatty, special mention to the two members of staff who have looked after Mum from the very beginning.
Just Ask carers took care of my mum at home for approx 3 years. They assisted Mum three times a day with showering, dressing, preparing meals, giving medication etc. They were very friendly, kind and professional. If ever there was a problem with Mum they would let us know and keep us updated on how she was. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They helped with the washing up, putting the rubbish out and bringing bits of shopping that Mum had run out of. Mum looked forward to their visits every day. Their help was invaluable. I would definitely recommend them.
My father lives alone and suffers from dementia, Just Ask visits twice daily and we can't recommend them enough. They are kind warm and caring and he really enjoys their visits. They make him breakfast and administer his medication and return in the evening and serve him a hot meal and administer medication. They always make sure there is time for a chat. Nothing is too much trouble and they are willing to help out if we need extra care from time to time. They have really taken a weight of my shoulders. Can't thank them enough.
My dad is 88 years old and has 100% mental capacity, but with minor physical/mobility issues; Just Ask provides him with the perfect assistant. If you cannot manage alone but do not require full personal assistance, these are your people. Think about the old-style "home help" as opposed to "carer". Dad's visit includes a clean throughout of the important stuff;(bathroom, kitchen, bed changed, laundry assist with a shave, in and out of the shower, can wash himself, assist walk to the bedroom, foot care, shoes, socks on can dress top half any minor little extras, rubbish bins out letter posted etc) Just Ask, sounds cliché, simple as that. I have worked in a social/elderly care/senior support worker for 30 years, so I know what is important. I have absolutely no negatives for this company. Friendly, caring, pleasant, efficient, prompt, reliable and as Dad has a great sense of humour, pleasant interaction with respect and dignity. Just Ask's support to me has improved my life also, as I no longer worry.
Thank you to Just Ask for the terrific service they have provided to my stepfather over the past four months. He was extremely reluctant to accept home help and personal care, but thanks to their competence and friendliness, he has been won over! They listen to his needs and wishes and work with him in a friendly and generous manner. They turn up on time and are happy to respond to last-minute requests. The service they provide is not only a huge help to him but also gives me peace of mind as I live 300 miles away. I'm very grateful to all the staff.
I would like to thank the team of Just Ask for the high quality of care, dignity and respect they showed towards our mother in the years they cared for her. Not to forget the management, who were very accommodating, friendly and easy to work alongside. I would be happy to recommend this company and have.
I would like to recommend Just Ask for the amazing care service they provided for my dad from July 2021 to Feb 2022, before he went into care. My mum was struggling to look after my dad, who has dementia, but Just Ask allowed us to keep him at home for an extra 6-months when his care was becoming too much for her to manage. The team were very attentive, keen to listen and discuss his needs and were keen to help in any way they could. In addition to the morning care service which they provided, they offered an occasional sitting service, sometimes at very short notice, and did extra tasks like administering a PCR test and dropping it at the post box. They advised my mum after my dad had a fall and made her feel that she wasn't on her own. They took a lot of pressure off my mum, and my dad really warmed to them all. Thank you so much to the team for providing a fabulous service.
