As a family we have been supported by this organisation for over 2 years and I have no hesitation in saying that the team at Elgar Care are excellent. Throughout my Dad's battle with motor neurone disease they provided outstanding and compassionate care- always responsive to changing needs for Dad
as well as deeply supportive of our family as a whole. In addition to the day to day carers providing front line care, staff in the office were always available to provide advice. Staff supporting Dad liaised closely with Hospice professionals and when needed undertook additional training to ensure that they were able to provide the highest standard of care at all times. Staff- whom we now consider to be friends- continue to care for my Mum and to provide the same support that we can be certain of. THANK YOU for everything you do

I can not express how amazing Elgar Care has been to my mother. All the ladies who care for my mum are polite and happy, and I can see it’s not just a job, they tend to all her needs, and I would be lost without them. I thoroughly recommend Elgar Care, they do care.

At the start of the year my dad's visiting times were not meeting his needs, now these have been changed he is much happier and I feel that he is in a safer environment. The carers are now consistent, so he feels more comfortable showering etc. in front of them and has a closer bond with them.

I can not praise your team enough. They are extremely competent, caring, patient and kind. They go above and beyond to care for my dad. Communication is excellent with myself and my brother. Thank you all for doing such an amazing job.

Can not praise this company highly enough. They weren’t only here for my mum, but for myself and my family! There wasn’t anything they wouldn’t do within reason (and we asked for a lot); were willing to have extra training on percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy feeding. Thank you so much to the
carers, office staff and managers who went above and beyond for my mum. Myself and my brothers are so grateful that we had yourselves looking after her. Thank you for all your support when we lost our mum and everything you have done since.

I am so pleased that a friend recommended Elgar Care to me last December when I was looking around for a care provider for my mum. They have been brilliant on all fronts, both in their care with Mum and the help and support they have also shown us as a family through what has been a very difficult
time. They are always professional and Mum enjoys their visits. They have adapted regularly to meet Mum's needs. Thankfully, Mum has recovered since getting home from hospital, in no small part due to their fabulous care alongside that of the family and Mum’s determination to get well. A big thank you to you all.

For over two years Elgar Care provided daily care for my dad. Although he was initially embarrassed to have carers, as he was only in his forties, the staff from Elgar put him at ease. They were kind, efficient, and treated him with dignity. Some of the more regular carers became his friends and
from the way he spoke about them, I knew he was in the best possible hands. I was updated regularly if there were ever any issues and I knew I could speak to someone myself if I had any concerns. When Dad passed away, I felt that the staff from Elgar were genuinely upset to have lost him too. Knowing that my grief was shared by so many who knew him was a huge comfort for me, as they really got to know him over the years. I would wholeheartedly recommend Elgar Care to anyone who requires home care.

The overall care that has been provided by Elgar Care Team has been outstanding. The approach from all staff and attention to detail is very gratifying. Unfortunately I am unable to mention individuals, so I will highly recommend Elgar Care as Care Agency for anyone who needs home care for whatever
reason. Many thanks again for the care that you are providing for me.

Really happy with the help and support my dad received from the carers during his time with Elgar Care. From the initial meeting with their care manager, who is absolutely delightful, to all aspects of looking after my dad's personal hygiene, Elgar Care made it so easy.
I am particularly grateful
as Elgar Care stepped in at a very difficult time and were the only company who would consider coming to our rural area when all others said we were too far away.

My overall experience is good, with some carers giving an excellent service, though others lack experience. The use of shadow training is effective in this situation.
Time keeping has improved considerably, but was a real problem in the past.

Elgar Care provides a good service. The carers are well trained. The regular team are patient, kind and respectful sometimes under difficult circumstances. To quote my husband, he said “Overall they do a good job and my dignity is protected.”

Overall very satisfied with Elgar.
The only thing is times can be a bit out.
Carers don't always look at care plans.
I like the companionship I get from carers.
I would like to have the same carers more often as you get used to carers and then don't see them again.

Elgar Care is a reliable and friendly company. We have been using them for two years now. They have adjusted to the changing needs and the carers are friendly and always happy to help. The office staff are always approachable and will try their best to accommodate if any changes are needed to the
call times.

All staff have been friendly but respectful.
Generally, carers are on time, and they do stay for the allotted time.
Some carers could be a little more proactive during the visit.
I have recommended it to friends.

Overall, the care I get is good. Some are more caring than others, but the majority are very good. This happens in all companies, I’m sure.
My biggest problem is having my calls changed. Sometimes more than once. I understand that this will happen as you are trying to fit us all in. Sometimes
when the call is a lot later than planned, this can be difficult for me due to the Chronic pain I’m in.
But most of the time, my rota does happen. I like to know who I'm having as I know certain ones will be able to assist me when I am not wearing my Cochlear implant. For instance, when I’m having my hair washed, without my implant, I’m totally deaf, and from getting to know my carers, I know who will be able to assist me better. Some can communicate with me, so this is very reassuring.
I am very pleased to have the care and have made some nice friends.

As a family, we are looking after our nan, who was extremely unwell. Elgar Care supported us in fulfilling our wishes. They have been attentive and caring, and we have never felt awkward having them in our house. We could not do this without them.
Carers have built a good relationship with Nan.
They instinctively picked up on her character, likes/dislikes, needs and sense of humour.
Any questions, queries or concerns we may have had have been dealt with immediately. Constant reviews take place to ensure the needs of clients and the safety of carers are always met.
