Always on time and always helpful Always there to help with anything Else we made need, thanks to all caregivers, feel better after carer has been and they are always polite, carers always wear the correct clothing.
Mostly my experience is good and if I have any problems I will call the office and it will be dealt with. The rota that is sent to me on a Monday has been changing a lot lately and I know things can change however as discussed before I would rather not have new carers for my mum as she is at a stage now that the carers she is familiar with she will have a more positive response.
I have been a client of Highland Care Team since 5 years. I am the youngest client however the staff are familiar with my care package and needs. Any concerns or enquiries myself or my parents have are dealt with and adjustments are made accordingly both office staff and carers are friendly and aware of myself as a client including my regular routine. The team at Highland Care have supported in improving my mental wellbeing, my care package involves community access which allows me to be independent without having to rely on family. My regular carer takes my needs into consideration and helps whilst we are out. If she is unavailable highland care send other staff members I am familiar with and inform me of any changes. Overall the service has made a huge positive change to my quality of life I am glad to be a client of highland care!
Highland Care have been caring for my Mother who is an Alzheimer's patient for around 3 years. We had 2 caregivers 3 times a day 365 days. Christmas Day and Boxing Day was not an issue. During the 3 years problems were few and I am most glad to say they were rectified expeditiously. The bond between the carers and my mother was most heart warming to see they treated my mother as if she was their mother, understanding and much kindness. The family would like to thank the care team and office staff for the hard work making Mum's last 3 years a most memorable experience.
My mother and myself are very happy with the carer and I am happy with the manager - speaking with her on the phone has always been a positive experience and having met her in person I feel I have been heard and that she is very thorough and aims to please and go above and beyond to help.
I'm a new service user to Highland Care. It beggars belief that this organisation has obtained a good rating by the CQC as some of the very basic requirements have not been met. The organisation itself seems to operate on an antiquated, fossilised approach to providing care to its users. Since becoming a client of their organisation I've had no meetings with senior or lower management to discuss my needs or requirements. Let alone looking at the environment their care staff are working in. No assessment has been done. Although some of the actual work staff are very good they seem to be far and few in-between which also relate to the allocation team. In this day and age, these methods of providing care for vulnerable clients are draconian. The organisation seems to be providing care for financial gain.
