View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Bromsgrove)My father receives a carers visit every week and I am glad to say he is very pleased with his visits and I think he really looks forward to them. He is always full of praise as to how busy the carer is, getting all the jobs done and seeking out the next tasks she can help with. I think dad also likes to have a chat with the carer and it is good that she boosts his spirit and encourages him in various things. Dad is a much happier person after each visit. Many thanks for the support you provide.
I was very apprehensive about having carers to take care of my father, who has Alzheimer's, but I can honestly say my experience with Helping Hands Bromsgrove has been fantastic. My father's regular carer is amazing, and my dad is very happy and well taken care of. It gives me peace of mind as well as taking some of the pressure off me. I would highly recommend them.
Can not recommend enough. So caring, so thoughtful, so approachable. Actual carers & office staff have become like friends. Thank you all. Level of support is excellent.
We have just started with care. All set up by Kellly, so far so good. The carers are very good so far.
Happy with the care provided. Like that, we have consistency of carer visiting, giving the client time for a chat!
I am not present when carer comes, so all values are from my wife. This is what she can remember. The visit is for companionship. Good service, very happy.
All the staff at Helping Hands Bromsgrove are simply wonderful. They are a huge support to our family, especially our carer Carol, who looks after mum so well. The office team are well organised and always helps us find a solution if we need to change shifts or increase our help requirements.
Overall, I am very happy with the service provided and especially happy with Mum's main carer. Lots of the time, they visit mum at the time stated on the rota, and if ever they are late, there is always a good and valid reason.
Just excellent care. Just so helpful, kind and made difficult situations so much easier to deal with. Sophie is patient, kind and helpful as I find at times overwhelmed by a deteriorating situation. A huge thank you.
Staff satsifactory.
Mum is very happy with her carers and enjoys their company. It is also really reassuring to know that mum has someone kind coming in to help her to bed.
We used the team for Mum in the summer of 2024 for a couple of months, she loved all the girls who came in. Have started using them again and have been so pleased by the speed they have put together a team for us. Mum has been delighted, feels safe and has enjoyed the chit chat. They have agreed to take her her do some shopping each week now too so, as a family, we are delighted she is in such good hands. Takes the pressure off us as we are out of town and cant get there every week.
We continue to be delighted with the service provided by Helping Hands. Mum actively looks forward to visits from the team. The staff are lovely, caring and kind. During our recent bereavement, staff have offered fantastic and unwavering support, which has been much appreciated. Also, the team in the office are always friendly and helpful. Well done, everybody!
Helping Hands supply me with a shower nurse once a week, which means I can shower safely and helps me to dress. In addition, she may change the sheets, hang up the towels to dry and make me a cup of tea.
My mother is happy with the care & support she received from the friendly & professional carers. She always looks forward to their visits. The office are also very good at adding sessions in at short notice, as my role involved working out of hours.
For 3-4 years, I have had difficulty getting my wife (with dementia) to clean and wash, and she refused to let me help her. I tried everything and everywhere and was at my wits' end when I employed Helping Hands to deal with it. Their response was fast and professional, and after an efficient needs assessment and initial visits to establish relations, two of their carers were able to get my wife up, showered, groomed and dressed. My wife loved it, was very pleased and full of praise. This changed my life overnight, lifted a dark cloud, and I now feel I can cope and get some life back. I can thoroughly recommend Helping Hands without reservation. It has also revived my wife's self-esteem.
Very productive.
My mum has been receiving care from Helping Hands, Bromsgrove for just under 4 years. They have become part of our family and mum looks forward to seeing the carers every morning and evening...and other times when necessary. I have spinal problems and when I am unable to help mum or attend appointments, I have no problem in asking Helping Hands to step in. Many of the carers have built up a friendship with mum and are interested in looking after her both physically and emotionally. When dealing with certain situations the carers have gone above and beyond to make sure mum is happy and comfortable. For me personally, I feel supported and talk openly with Management about any problems and have found them to be friendly, caring and interested..... and every now and again, have time for a good laugh :)
An exemplary service from start to finish. I needed support with surgical stockings & washing my feet following a total hip replacement. From the initial assessment to the visits every other day, a faultless service. I would be happy to recommend all the staff that have visited me over the past month and the care they have taken in looking after me. Thank you.
Helping Hands have been an excellent provider for my elderly mother with mixed dementia for about a year now, which includes day visits and nights sleepovers. The staff work hard and the continuity of staff help with building up positive relationships with my mother. When I've been present at the same time as the carers it's encouraging to see her respond positively. Recently I have been very impressed with the support provided by Management at the Redditch and Bromsgrove Branch to accommodate necessary last minute changes and wrap around care to support at a time when my mother's health went into a decline and again. Thank you all for what you do.
