View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Ipswich)Helping Hands has looked after my father for many years. Although Dad has recently gone into a home, Helping Hands has continued to support us during the house sale. We cannot praise them highly enough, particularly one member of staff in particular who has shown exemplary care and support for Dad over the years. Helping Hands has provided a first class, professional service being reactive, helpful and reliable. We couldn't have managed without them and recommend their services without hesitation.
Helping Hands have been caring for my 98 year old father for just over two years. Two particular carers (father and daughter team) visit my father every week day morning and help to set him up for the day. They are unfailingly supportive, attentive and good humoured. They have a built a real rapport with my Dad and he really looks forward to seeing them. My family and I cannot speak highly enough of them.
My mother is very happy with all the girls she gets in the mornings. They are all lovely. My only criticism would be that the bin in the bathroom is not always emptied when necessary and a quick clean of the loo would be much appreciated. Also if time allows, a quick hoover round her floor would be good. Some girls do these things, but it would be fabulous if everyone did.
Brilliant team in Ipswich. Office and carers. Very helpful, nothing to much trouble. Always go that little bit further. Always there in an emergency . I need a one off all day support for my mum. No problem the office told me straight away that it would be fine.
For almost a year Helping Hands have been caring for my 95-year-old cousin at home. However recent circumstances have dictated that she now needs 24-hour care and is now resident in a local nursing home. I am my cousin's next of kin and she has no family or even close friends in Ipswich where she lives. Unfortunately, as I live in London I could only visit her every few weeks. So it was extremely important to me that I could trust any potential care provider. Helping Hands proved to be such a Care Organisation, the carers were kind, resourceful and empathetic looking after her really well despite a series of crisis points throughout 2023. I want to thank everyone at Helping Hands including the local Ipswich managers for the excellent care they provided.
The support we have had has been exemplary. Our only criticism has been that it takes a little time to set things up satisfactorily.
My father has been well looked after. The carers have helped improve his mood. He looks forward to seeing them. Enjoys their company and on occasion has a good laugh. He is treated with dignity and any problems are dealt with quickly and the office are always happy to help.
First-class service. We had 24-hour coverage whilst I had a respite holiday. Excellent, they cooked tasty meals and left the house spotless, nothing was too much trouble for them. I can't thank you enough.
I was very happy with help given to me by the carers when I had a hip replacement. They were all very cheerful and willing to do the odd jobs that I couldn't do.
My friend has found this company to be very good at assisting her needs. At nearly 95 she was finding it difficult to get out of bed and get dressed and breakfast. Once mobile she finds she can deal with her day as it comes so they help get her started.
Mum is very well supported by the Helping Hands Home Care (Ipswich). Mum has dementia and has been able to stay in her own home following Dad's death in December. She has live-in care from Helping Hands, and the Ipswich team provides relief care for the live-in carer's breaks. Mum is taken out to the park and to cafes, and for walks, and appointments with health care professionals. They are very kind young women. I get regular feedback on how Mum is doing and they let me know of any concerns so I can follow up. Mum looks forward to their visits immensely. Their care for Dad before he died was exceptional.
Overall my mother has received excellent care from Helping Hands Home Care (Ipswich) she has had them for six years, I think. There are some exceptional carers who have gone above and beyond their duty from time to time.
The Helping Hands staff were extremely personable, cooperative, understanding of my needs and helpful to a fault around the house. They tailored their time and rota to my needs and provided everything that I could have wished.
The carers are all pleasant young ladies, easy to talk to and very polite. Always do what you ask of them.
