View full details of Right at Home (Oxford)We chose from a short list that included Right at Home (RAH) to attend to mothers needs because of the outstanding CQC rating along with another care provider. From the outset Lea , Care Manager, Oxford, was friendly, professional an nothing seemed too much trouble. Importantly, RAH were more flexible in respect of the lengths of visits. The ladies that visit three times a day are kind, skilled and industrious towards mothers personal needs. There is a sense that the staff are well trained and attention to detail is important to them. The ability to log in to the notes made by the carers after each visit is particularly useful when the family members are not living locally. Because of various factors there are occasions when the carers are a little late in arriving, but importantly, mother is very pleased to see them each time they visit and meet her needs. Right at Home, Oxford, is a well run organisation that I fully recommend.
I really appreciate the care Right at Home has given to my 96 year old mum. They've treated her with respect and kindness. I couldn't have put her in better hands. The carers are always within their visit times and do everything that mum needs. It's given me peace of mind to know she's well cared for. We're lucky to have such a good home support provider.
Nothing but Praise ! I've been delighted to meet all my carers . They are all so warm and friendly and eager to be helpful . I really enjoy the conversations we have over a cup of tea, the hour goes by very quickly . I would warmly recommend 'Right at Home , Oxford ' to people in a similar situation to myself.
My mother looks forward to the visits from the carers, and finds them very helpful and friendly. They brighten her day up and give her somebody else to chat to, so she feels less lonely. I would definitely recommend the company to other people.
Right at Home have provided really good care for my husband arriving punctually every morning and providing excellent care. The carers are kind, efficient and friendly providing consistently reliable professional support . This makes a big difference to the quality of life for both of us. As we have got to know each other better Right at Home have become like family taking an interest in daily life and how they can help to improve safety and comfort in our own home.
The service has improved over the last 12 months as now my husband gets the same carer more often. Overall they arrive when they are scheduled to do. There is good understanding when I need to cancel when we are away for a night. The carers have introduced more efficient ways of care. My husband says they are very receptive to what he likes and try to make it as easy as possible for him.
Right At Home (Oxford) have been helping to support my parents for over 2 years now. They come promptly at times we have requested. And even more importantly they have been flexible and adaptable when my parents have had health issues. Last year particularly my sisters and I were so grateful for their support when my Dad had a series of falls. The co-ordinators have been amazing, and the care my parents have received from RAH has been proactive, and very professional throughout. Great service from everybody, all round!
Wonderful support from the whole team from the beginning of pastoral and nursing care at home right to the end. Everybody so kind and thoughtful throughout some challenging times. Very quick to respond to changes in care schedules, and to keep me informed of any concerns. Living at a distance we were reassured by them keeping a close eye and being proactive when issues arose. We were very grateful for all their help.
My sister and I would like to thank the Right at Home team for all the help over the last few years. It was very important for Dad that he could stay in his own home. That would not have been possible without the superb care and support provided by Right at Home. It far exceeded our expectations and we will forever be grateful.
Great service from the whole team (many different aspects to the service, from administration to tracking of the tasks done, to direct carer contact) for all routine daily care needs for early and mid-stage Alzheimer's.
If you are reading reviews of care providers you might have found yourself in a dilemma. I did. You may be looking for reassurance; signs of integrity and reliability. I was. It could be that you can't imagine, however much your loved one needs extra care, just how it would actually work for them. I couldn't. As soon as I made the first contact with Right At Home I felt a sense of relief. They reacted incredibly quickly to our situation which enabled my mum to leave the hospital. From the get-go, I found the communication, reliability, kindness and commitment to my mum, and to us as a family, exceptional. The carer team treated her like she was their only client and she loved them! In a nutshell if you are asking yourself that indefinable question: Will they get it? They do.
I want to praise the wonderful care and positive proactive support we have received especially from the care coordinators over the last few weeks. My dad has been in hospital and so we had to make a number of changes to the care patterns, including contact with Right at Home at weekends. We also received very helpful support related to discharge. I have been so impressed by the kindness and flexibility of your service at a difficult time for our family. It has made a huge difference to us. I wanted to nominate some people for an extra mile award, please can you explain how I can do that. Thank you so very much!
Right at Home has been brilliant! Their communication has been clear and prompt and they have been friendly, kind and very helpful throughout. We're still in the early days and navigating Dad's change from independence to needing help is not uncomplicated, but I feel I can trust the lovely RAH team to ease the transition and treat Dad like a human being rather than a problem. Thank you Right at Home (Oxford)!
Absolutely wonderful service. We used them for daily care for my mum who has dementia and also for my dad who was receiving palliative care at home. We were able to tap into the night cover to help him with personal care so that family members could sleep. All the carers, manager and care coordinator have been outstanding in their care and compassion. Thank you from my heart.
Mum’s deteriorating memory has resulted in her needing more help and supervision so she can stay at home. Within a short period of time, Right at Home were able to introduce a lovely lady who has moved into my old bedroom. She has quickly figured out how Mum ticks and makes sure Mum remains safe. Mum can be a bit of a challenge at times but the carer handles situations calmly, quietly and with tons of patience. My stress levels had reduced knowing the girls were keeping an eye on Mum when they came twice a day. Now someone is there providing care during the day and keeping an eye on Mum in case anything were to happen overnight, my stress levels are reducing. Hats off to the amount of patience the girls have with mum. Thank you all.
Although Right at Home was only needed to attend to my father for the final few days of his life, they did a wonderful job. During that time, the carers were all extremely kind and experienced. They carried out a number of tasks four times a day that ensured my dad was as comfortable as he could be and he retained his dignity.
Right At Home have been amazing, the care they have given my mother is outstanding. All of the team, just to mention a few, are wonderful. They go above and beyond to help my mum. It has put my mind at ease knowing she is in excellent care and being well looked after. She loves all of the ladies coming in and taking her out, for coffee, ice cream or a walk. Me and the family would be lost without them, they have become an important part of our family and we are so grateful to all of them. Thank you to all of the Right At Home team in Oxford.
We are very pleased with the service provided by Right at Home (Oxford) for my partner and the way in which they have dealt with his increasing needs. We began last autumn, with companionship one morning a week. But, a sudden change in his health required immediate overnight care and a more professional approach, which they managed quickly and efficiently. The staff are delightful and the office coordinators have been very helpful, often having to organise care very quickly, particularly during the daytime. We, as a family, are so glad that he is now so well looked after and cared for in his own home.
Mum and the family have been very happy with Right at Home (Oxford). From the start, we were impressed with the way they do things differently from previous care providers we've had. For example; introducing Mum to her carers before the care started, having a weekly rota of the carers visiting Mum so she knows who will be visiting, and being able to have direct feedback from every visit via the daily app. All this has been fantastic. But, most importantly, the carers have been punctual, kind, gentle and very caring with Mum. Mum is very happy with the care she receives and also enjoys chatting to them. We feel, as a family, reassured that Mum is being looked after with respect and professionalism.
All the staff at Right at Home Oxford have been delightful. They managed to set up care at short notice for my aunt, increased it when requested and quickly adjusted when requirements changed due to hospital admission/discharge. The coordinator has a can-do attitude and never makes you feel that you're a nuisance. She also went the extra mile when my aunt had a fall when she was alone in the house and activated her wrist alarm. Although it wasn't Right at Home's responsibility she went around to check on her, called the ambulance and stayed with her for several hours, updating family who are 60 miles away. It was so reassuring. The regular carer looks for things to do even though my aunt isn't very good at asking for assistance. Nothing is too much trouble.
