View Full Details of Choices Homecare (Kirklees & Wakefield)The review was thorough and covered all of Mum's care needs. The carer was very understanding and efficient. We are happy with how the service has improved over the last year and Mum is very happy.
I am very pleased with all the carers. I am disappointed lately keep getting different times and not regular carers. All of a sudden they changed it, it was fine in the beginning. I was annoyed on Saturday 29th March I didn't get anyone at teatime, they rang my friend to come, this was wrong because she doesn't get paid by Choices.
I have two care ladies to care for me, but if they are off I don't know who will be coming. When I try to get through to ask, I cannot get an answer on the phone.
I find that the carers mainly very good, but the person responsible for scheduling the carer times of visiting clients is totally wrong my carers come mainly nearer the time that they should come but at weekends sometimes hit and miss or I don't get any carers at all without warning that they are not coming or rescheduled and replace a carer that was supposed to have come but changed it without me knowing who I am going to get. It seams that this scheduler should come and see for himself on what mess he is doing to us clients schedules and also the carers too, if he don't then it's just going to get worse.
Most carers are very good but some not so much times for meals vary which does not help my diabetes but on the whole they are very helpful.
Happy regarding the care my mum is receiving. Choices Homecare have provided my mum with a few regular carers which has enabled them to know my mums needs, her ways and likes and dislikes therefore providing continuation and good standard of care and developing a good professional relationship with mum. Occasionally carers who are not so familiar with my mum have difficulty identifying her memory loss/dementia which could affect. The carers do not hesitate to inform me if there are any issues with um and management always available for my to contact by email or phone always very helpful.
After another year of care by Choices for my Mum, I can thank you for the wonderful support and care you have provided. Mum is always happy to see the carers every day, they keep her smiling and happy. Thank you.
Excellent.
Would be good to receive a couple of the same carers as I have to instruct them if they haven't been before. But all the carers are very kind. Also, I still get charged even if I have had to cancel due to illness or hospital appointments. Hopefully, I'll get a refund!
I find the carers I have now can be summed up as kind, respectful and pleasant. Helpful in all aspects of care, exactly what is needed, especially considering the very long hours they put in and I suspect with not well paid.
Some carers are diligent and attentive. Not enough attention is given to administering meals.
We have two care teams sharing duties. The first team have been consistent from day one and seem experienced and are very good. The second shift has been covered by a wide mix of staff who seem less experienced/proficient although we now seem to have two more regular staff for the second shift who will hopefully grow into the role as they become more familiar with my mother.
Choices Specialist Community Care and Support have been my care provider for three months, I like the fact that I have a consistent care team. The carers are knowledgeable, professional, approachable and friendly.
This company exceeds all my expectations, from the top to the wonderful people who take care of my wife. Would highly recommend Choices to all!
Friendly staff who come four times per day to help me and keep me company during the time spent.
All of the carers are very helpful and are also pleasant when visiting. Nothing is too much trouble. Very reliable, no problems at all. Very happy.
Absolutely fantastic. I can not recommend enough.
The level of care my parents receive is exemplary and we cannot praise and thank Choices Specialist Community Care & Support enough. The carers are dependable, caring and always turn up with cheerful and pleasant attitudes. Carers that really do care!
