View Full Details of Caremark WakefieldWe changed from an inadequate care provider to Caremark as they were just beginning in Wakefield. We had a good start with one regular carer. As Mums health and mobility declined, Caremark were able to increase the care that Mum required, providing meals, medication and help with personal care. We did go through a rocky patch, but time keeping and the number and professionalism of the carers has much improved. Due to this most carers know Mum’s preferences and routines, so know when she can do things for herself and when to intervene. Mum enjoys the company provided by some carers who can chat, engage with her and make her smile. Despite Mums dementia she has a very independent spirit and without your care we would not be able to comply with her wish to remain in her home. Throughout, I have been able to contact your office with any issues, and concerns are usually addressed promptly. I hope this level of care and communication will continue and even continue to improve.
Coming up to one year of fantastic care for my husband after a severe stroke leaving him bedbound and unable to communicate well. All carers have been kind, patient and got to know him and his needs. He looks forward to their visits. I couldn't have gone back to work without this amazing service. Thank you.
I find that my carers are caring and companionate. I look forward to seeing these on a daily basis as they are always pleasant and willing to help. They are always willing to do the tasks which I ask them to do. I have spoken to the manager and other staff on the phone and they are always helpful and willing to help.
Having nothing but problems with Caremark services. The person is great at the office but some of the carers are just not up to the job. Not providing adequate food for my mum. Many days just a sandwich. Paying for a 30min call for the carer to disappear after 10mins. Just seem to do the very bare minimum when other tasks could be done.
When my daughter's care became too much for me alone, l was really worried about allowing a carer into the home to help with my daughter. I don’t know why I was so worried, the carer has been amazing and having good quality care is helping half the load on myself. My daughter who is a very good judge of people loves her carer to the point she sits and looks for her out the window and will allow them to do things she puts up a fight with me doing. The carer has been nothing but professional and very kind and caring with my daughter who has complex medical needs.
We have used Caremark (Wakefield) now since last year and I have to say I'm truly grateful for their professional approach. Everything was booked in prior to the appointment date and sent to myself by email address giving all the information I needed. Staff were prompt, friendly and courteous which put my child at ease. He had a lovely time and together with the help of staff, created some great fun work. Staff filled in all necessary paperwork and made both myself and my child feel valued. I have stated in the value for money as Don't Know as payment is sent via other means
The guys at Caremark in Wakefield have been extremely helpful to us. My Mum who is 90 moved in with us at relatively short notice after a fall and a stay in hospital. The manager got us set up really quickly and efficiently. It was a very stressful time for us but he helped reduce that considerably. The Supervisor is very well organised and very experienced for her age. She has helped us a lot to liaise with other local services. And all the carers that have been to care for Mum have been excellent - all very caring and professional. And they all try to make a connection to Mum which helps make things much easier for her to cope with.
