View Full Details of Caremark WakefieldThis is the second care company we have used for our 92 year old mum who is practically bedbound and has vascular dementia. We have been using Caremark Wakefield now for a good few months. I cannot rate them high enough. They treat mum with respect and the dignity she deserves, nothing is too much trouble for them. I have met all the carers that look after mum and not one of them has given me any concerns at all. If I have ever had to add an extra visit at short notice they have always sorted it out. Mum tells me they make her laugh with their little jokes they have with her. Its reassuring to know that mum is also happy with them. Mum has so many health issues on top of her dementia so been able to take a break from mum and know she is in good hands is priceless. The carers know I am always there for them if any concerns with mum and I know they are always there for me. These are not just carers they CARE. Amazing, outstanding.
Caremark have always been extremely responsive when changes are needed. All the carers that come and look after mum are kind and caring, but I would single out one lady as an extremely good carer. She will always attempt to get mum to eat something and keep trying different things to encourage her to eat.
My mother has been a client of Caremark for years now, she has used these services before from other companies, however in terms of reliability, friendliness and dedication Caremark has been the best in our opinion. I could not have coped without them as my mother needs a high degree of care. I would not hesitate to recommend this company, by the way my mother is close to 100 years old and she has had all sorts of health ailments so you can see the level of trust I place in this company.
Don't have much to say about the careers poor service don't do nothing but make drink and sitting around then leave don't do any cleaning shopping washing or tidying up or changing beds it's not valuable for money.
I have been very happy with my carers. They have universally been cheerful, even if I am grumpy on those occasions when I've had a bad night. They cajole me into doing exercises to get me fit. I love them all.
The care is good and they look after my mum's needs and help with things I'm unable to help my mum with
Caremark employees provide excellent care taking care of my everyday needs. I have had Parkinson's for 15yrs. I can't praise the owner and her team for what they have done and continue to do for me, my health and well being is so important . Nothing is ever too much trouble for office manager and care assistant is like a breath of fresh air, looking after my needs , always professional, polite, and respectful.
We changed from an inadequate care provider to Caremark as they were just beginning in Wakefield. We had a good start with one regular carer. As Mums health and mobility declined, Caremark were able to increase the care that Mum required, providing meals, medication and help with personal care. We did go through a rocky patch, but time keeping and the number and professionalism of the carers has much improved. Due to this most carers know Mum’s preferences and routines, so know when she can do things for herself and when to intervene. Mum enjoys the company provided by some carers who can chat, engage with her and make her smile. Despite Mums dementia she has a very independent spirit and without your care we would not be able to comply with her wish to remain in her home. Throughout, I have been able to contact your office with any issues, and concerns are usually addressed promptly. I hope this level of care and communication will continue and even continue to improve.
Coming up to one year of fantastic care for my husband after a severe stroke leaving him bedbound and unable to communicate well. All carers have been kind, patient and got to know him and his needs. He looks forward to their visits. I couldn't have gone back to work without this amazing service. Thank you.
I find that my carers are caring and companionate. I look forward to seeing these on a daily basis as they are always pleasant and willing to help. They are always willing to do the tasks which I ask them to do. I have spoken to the manager and other staff on the phone and they are always helpful and willing to help.
Having nothing but problems with Caremark services. The person is great at the office but some of the carers are just not up to the job. Not providing adequate food for my mum. Many days just a sandwich. Paying for a 30min call for the carer to disappear after 10mins. Just seem to do the very bare minimum when other tasks could be done.
When my daughter's care became too much for me alone, l was really worried about allowing a carer into the home to help with my daughter. I don’t know why I was so worried, the carer has been amazing and having good quality care is helping half the load on myself. My daughter who is a very good judge of people loves her carer to the point she sits and looks for her out the window and will allow them to do things she puts up a fight with me doing. The carer has been nothing but professional and very kind and caring with my daughter who has complex medical needs.
We have used Caremark (Wakefield) now since last year and I have to say I'm truly grateful for their professional approach. Everything was booked in prior to the appointment date and sent to myself by email address giving all the information I needed. Staff were prompt, friendly and courteous which put my child at ease. He had a lovely time and together with the help of staff, created some great fun work. Staff filled in all necessary paperwork and made both myself and my child feel valued. I have stated in the value for money as Don't Know as payment is sent via other means
The guys at Caremark in Wakefield have been extremely helpful to us. My Mum who is 90 moved in with us at relatively short notice after a fall and a stay in hospital. The manager got us set up really quickly and efficiently. It was a very stressful time for us but he helped reduce that considerably. The Supervisor is very well organised and very experienced for her age. She has helped us a lot to liaise with other local services. And all the carers that have been to care for Mum have been excellent - all very caring and professional. And they all try to make a connection to Mum which helps make things much easier for her to cope with.
