We have used Visiting Angels for a few years now for our mother and we have found them to be absolutely brilliant. The carers are superb, you couldn't wish for better...friendly, professional and so good at their jobs. The entire office team have always been there for us too. As the years go on my
mother's needs are understandably changing and Visiting Angels have been able to understand and adapt my mother's care package so she has the care and protection she needs to live a comfortable, content life, retaining her dignity.
It's very difficult living so far away but knowing mum is in such wonderful hands and the excellent updates on the App after each visit bring me peace of mind that she's happy and getting the care she needs.

Generally the quality of care is very good and consistent. All my mam's needs are generally met and the carers are all friendly, kind and professional. I have no real complaints on the care. Only real problem in the last few months have been down to management changes- this has caused a few minor
mistakes on cancelled or amended visits.

We have been extremely delighted with all the staff at Visiting Angels and had no complaints and recommend them to friends and family.

Well satisfied. Excellent care, always prompt, always considerate.

Generally I consider the service to be very good with the following reservations. There is an excessive turn over of staff. This leads to the need to train new people consistently. It would be better for my wife to be seen by the carers she is familiar with. Whilst I appreciate that we live in a
rural location, I have found that the carers would not push themselves to make the call in difficult climate conditions.

VA reliable, kind and consistent.

It was a catastrophic shock to learn my husband had pancreatic cancel. To have people say he was going to die. It is incurable at the moment. We will keep him going until there is a cure. That is my family's goal. For over a month I looked after Tom on my own. I have arthiritis, polymyalgia
rheumatica, brandictasis etc. etc. Tom has metal supporting his spine which he broke 06/01/91. He had a lot of pain before cancer. Looking after Tom nearly broke me until the NHS sent me Visiting Angels. It is still hard to cope. I am just one old woman. There used to be the two of us as a team!

I find all my carers to be kind and caring. Do the little jobs without being asked.

My father in law has had Visiting Angels for nearly 12 months.
He is an elderly gentleman living on his own. Both himself and the house were showing signs of neglect.
Since having Visiting Angels things have improved massively.
He was very reluctant to have this additional support but now
accepts it and enjoys the company.
The staff are always very friendly and provide him with all the support he requires.
His house no longer smells and his clothes are always clean.
He used to be so well dressed when he was working so to see him looking this way again makes us all so grateful for the care given.
Yes it is a lot of money to be paying out but the peace of mind the family get knowing he is well cared for is worth every penny.
Some of the carers have started to sing with him which really makes his day. They find his favourite songs on their phones and play them for him.
It is the little things that make so much difference.
Thank you all

Mum has been receiving care from North Shropshire Visiting Angels for a few years now and I'm constantly reassured by how attentive the carers are, how they listen to what Mum wants and their willingness to help Mum in whatever way they possibly can.
It took a long time to find a company that Mum
would allow into her home to help her (and a lot of persuasion on my part!) but right from the initial meeting with the care manager to assess what Mum wanted to her current day to day visits I have every confidence that North Shropshire Visiting Angels are a great fit for Mum (and for me) and that they are able to offer such a caring, compassionate and professional service. Thank you.

My Mum had been caring for Dad's personal care when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to have an urgent operation. We had been considering extra care for Dad for a while but knew he would be reluctant; however Mum's illness brought matters to a head as it meant she would no longer be able
to carry on. Dad understood help was required. Visiting Angels were recommended by a good friend and neighbour and came to visit us very quickly as they understood we needed their services urgently. The management team are warm, friendly and very efficient and Dad felt reassured and comfortable to proceed with care package. Although all the carers who have visited Dad are understanding and experienced, he quickly formed a bond with two wonderful ladies in particular, and Visiting Angels have moved mountains to ensure continuity of care with those carers to keep him happy and confident about moving forward. Thank you Angels, you are amazing!

Lovely warm friendly staff
Very discreet and respectful
Chatty and genuinely interested in dad's life.
Dad is not the easiest client as mum does everything for him, but due to mum having surgery, we had no other options for dads care
Visiting Angels have been amazing the manager has had to
shuffle there rotas to get two staff members in particular out to dad as they are his preferred carers.
We also have an app which we can see who has been and an update on what they have done and how dad was , this is very helpful as we are not on the doorstep.
The manager keeps us updated on all the admin etc by email
Very professional.

Visiting Angels were fantastic and came on task very quickly as we needed them very soon. The management team were great and very quick to respond to all our questions.
All the carers were understanding, experienced and caring. When my Dad had to go into a care home suddenly they were very caring
and even brought some flowers for my Mum.
The carers were happy to do whatever my Dad or Mum needed and I would have no reservations in recommending them or re-employing them.

I am extremely grateful to the Angels for the excellent care given to my sister over the last 6 months. She has been very poorly and without their help she would not have been able to stay in her own home, which she so much wanted to do. Communication between managers and staff and between the staff
themselves is excellent and the key to the quality of service provided. The staff feel cared for and supported by the managers. I can't praise the service enough.

Just to let you know that Dad was really positive about how things went this morning, his first morning with you, so a big thank you to all the team for that. It's a huge weight off our shoulders knowing that he is happy with the care provided.

We started using Visiting Angels North Shropshire in June 2024 when my 96-year-old mother needed extra help at home following a fall, which resulted in a broken hip. She wanted to be able to stay in her own home and live independently and the Angels help her to do that. She'd never had any sort of
care support so it was a big change for her to allow people into her home. But now, my mum has really formed a bond with many of the Angels. The office team are very good at keeping us up to date with who will be looking after my mum each week. They visit for an hour each day to provide her with a hot lunch and do a few chores that she struggles with. It's a great service. We investigated a few local care firms but in our opinion, Visiting Angels are the best fit for my mum.

I would like to say from our very first meeting with the registered manager we as a family were impressed, grateful and so relieved, the care and compassion all Angels showed my aunt was over and above what we expected. Will always be so very grateful to them and would highly recommend Angels. As a
retired nurse I could see all staff were caring and observant of my aunt's needs.
21 November 2024
From the first contact with Visiting Angels on the telephone I felt that this company would be perfect to care for my father for the last months of his life. They certainly are all Angels - from the management and office staff to all the amazing carers. Dad was bed-bound from April 2024 until he
died in October and during that time he was treated with such dignity and compassion, that nothing was ever too much trouble. The carers got to know Dad's interests and would enjoy chatting to him about his hobbies, reading to him and playing music. They were quick to notice any medical issues which were always relayed to the office and dealt with immediately. They were also mindful of how my sister and I were coping with the situation and always a huge support to us too. It was so comforting to know that Dad was receiving the best possible care and was incredibly fond of everyone who looked after him. I genuinely cannot praise this company highly enough and would recommend them wholeheartedly.

I have a mother who needs home care! This is not my first experience with finding good home care but l live abroad and have limited time to find a solution! One staff member of Visiting Angels was wonderful! She answered all my concerns and put my mother at ease, as prior to this visit was not
cooperating! Then came the first visit, the staff member introduced us to another staff member and now my mother is very happy! Thank you both.
