It's very difficult living so far away but knowing mum is in such wonderful hands and the excellent updates on the App after each visit bring me peace of mind that she's happy and getting the care she needs.
It truly means a great deal to us to hear how positive your experience has been over the years. Supporting clients and their families as needs change is at the heart of what we do, so we're especially pleased to know that your mother's care...
Generally the quality of care is very good and consistent. All my mam's needs are generally met and the carers are all friendly, kind and professional. I have no real complaints on the care. Only real problem in the last few months have been down to management changes- this has caused a few minor mistakes on cancelled or amended visits.
We're sorry to hear about the recent issues. To...
We have been extremely delighted with all the staff at Visiting Angels and had no complaints and recommend them to friends and family.

Well satisfied. Excellent care, always prompt, always considerate.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave the team a review - we will pass your kind comments through. Regards
Generally I consider the service to be very good with the following reservations. There is an excessive turn over of staff. This leads to the need to train new people consistently. It would be better for my wife to be seen by the carers she is familiar with. Whilst I appreciate that we live in a rural location, I have found that the carers would not push themselves to make the call in difficult climate conditions.
Thank you for your review. I would like to clarify that during a recent snow event we were unable to make contact as phone lines were down. Caregivers were transported by 4x4 and then had to walk approximately 5-10 minutes to reach your home. While we understand the importance of maintaining care...
VA reliable, kind and consistent.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We are delighted to hear that you are well satisfied with the care provided and that our team have been prompt and considerate. Your comments mean a great deal to us and will be shared with the caregivers, who take pride in delivering high-quality, compassionate support.
Very good good help with meals and company. I feel better since having angels.
At Visiting Angels, we know how important it is to feel comfortable, supported, and not alone, so it means a lot to hear that you're feeling...
It was a catastrophic shock to learn my husband had pancreatic cancel. To have people say he was going to die. It is incurable at the moment. We will keep him going until there is a cure. That is my family's goal. For over a month I looked after Tom on my own. I have arthiritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, brandictasis etc. etc. Tom has metal supporting his spine which he broke 06/01/91. He had a lot of pain before cancer. Looking after Tom nearly broke me until the NHS sent me Visiting Angels. It is still hard to cope. I am just one old woman. There used to be the two of us as a team!
Thank you so much for sharing such a deeply personal and emotional experience. We are truly sorry to hear about Tom's diagnosis and the immense challenges you've both been facing. It is an incredibly difficult journey, and it's clear how much love, strength, and determination you bring to caring...
I find all my carers to be kind and caring. Do the little jobs without being asked.
Thank you for taking the time to respond - the tiny tasks are the ones that sometimes make the most difference and we are glad that our Angel team are supporting you in a person centered way that you are happy with. We will pass your comments through to the team. Thank you
He is an elderly gentleman living on his own. Both himself and the house were showing signs of neglect.
Since having Visiting Angels things have improved massively.
He was very reluctant to have this additional support but now accepts it and enjoys the company.
The staff are always very friendly and provide him with all the support he requires.
His house no longer smells and his clothes are always clean.
He used to be so well dressed when he was working so to see him looking this way again makes us all so grateful for the care given.
Yes it is a lot of money to be paying out but the peace of mind the family get knowing he is well cared for is worth every penny.
Some of the carers have started to sing with him which really makes his day. They find his favourite songs on their phones and play them for him.
It is the little things that make so much difference.
Thank you all
We understand how difficult it can be to accept help at first, and we're so pleased to hear...
It took a long time to find a company that Mum would allow into her home to help her (and a lot of persuasion on my part!) but right from the initial meeting with the care manager to assess what Mum wanted to her current day to day visits I have every confidence that North Shropshire Visiting Angels are a great fit for Mum (and for me) and that they are able to offer such a caring, compassionate and professional service. Thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review of the service, it is an absolute pleasure to be able to assist mum and we are so pleased to hear that the service is working well for you all. Kind regards
My Mum had been caring for Dad's personal care when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to have an urgent operation. We had been considering extra care for Dad for a while but knew he would be reluctant; however Mum's illness brought matters to a head as it meant she would no longer be able to carry on. Dad understood help was required. Visiting Angels were recommended by a good friend and neighbour and came to visit us very quickly as they understood we needed their services urgently. The management team are warm, friendly and very efficient and Dad felt reassured and comfortable to proceed with care package. Although all the carers who have visited Dad are understanding and experienced, he quickly formed a bond with two wonderful ladies in particular, and Visiting Angels have moved mountains to ensure continuity of care with those carers to keep him happy and confident about moving forward. Thank you Angels, you are amazing!
Thank you so very much expressing such kind words for the team; we are truly grateful for you to take the time to leave us a review and we are so pleased that we have been able to support and help at this time. With very kind regards
Very discreet and respectful
Chatty and genuinely interested in dad's life.
Dad is not the easiest client as mum does everything for him, but due to mum having surgery, we had no other options for dads care
Visiting Angels have been amazing the manager has had to shuffle there rotas to get two staff members in particular out to dad as they are his preferred carers.
We also have an app which we can see who has been and an update on what they have done and how dad was , this is very helpful as we are not on the doorstep.
The manager keeps us updated on all the admin etc by email
Very professional.
Thank you for you for taking the time to leave a review, we are so pleased to be able to support. We will certainly pass your comments through to the Manager and the team.
All the carers were understanding, experienced and caring. When my Dad had to go into a care home suddenly they were very caring and even brought some flowers for my Mum.
The carers were happy to do whatever my Dad or Mum needed and I would have no reservations in recommending them or re-employing them.
We are so thankful for your kind comments and for taking the time to leave us a review. It's a pleasure to have been able to help you all.
I am extremely grateful to the Angels for the excellent care given to my sister over the last 6 months. She has been very poorly and without their help she would not have been able to stay in her own home, which she so much wanted to do. Communication between managers and staff and between the staff themselves is excellent and the key to the quality of service provided. The staff feel cared for and supported by the managers. I can't praise the service enough.
We are pleased to be able to make that difference for your sister. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Best wishes, Director
Just to let you know that Dad was really positive about how things went this morning, his first morning with you, so a big thank you to all the team for that. It's a huge weight off our shoulders knowing that he is happy with the care provided.
Thank you - that's great news. We are always here to support you, if you need us just shout. The team will be in touch with you for regular check-ins to ensure the service is working for you all. Regards
We started using Visiting Angels North Shropshire in June 2024 when my 96-year-old mother needed extra help at home following a fall, which resulted in a broken hip. She wanted to be able to stay in her own home and live independently and the Angels help her to do that. She'd never had any sort of care support so it was a big change for her to allow people into her home. But now, my mum has really formed a bond with many of the Angels. The office team are very good at keeping us up to date with who will be looking after my mum each week. They visit for an hour each day to provide her with a hot lunch and do a few chores that she struggles with. It's a great service. We investigated a few local care firms but in our opinion, Visiting Angels are the best fit for my mum.
Thank you so much for such a fantastic review; the team does what they do best and really cares! We shall pass your review through to them - such great feedback.
I would like to say from our very first meeting with the registered manager we as a family were impressed, grateful and so relieved, the care and compassion all Angels showed my aunt was over and above what we expected. Will always be so very grateful to them and would highly recommend Angels. As a retired nurse I could see all staff were caring and observant of my aunt's needs.
Good morning, thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we are pleased that the service has met your high expectations in caring for your aunt. Regards.
From the first contact with Visiting Angels on the telephone I felt that this company would be perfect to care for my father for the last months of his life. They certainly are all Angels - from the management and office staff to all the amazing carers. Dad was bed-bound from April 2024 until he died in October and during that time he was treated with such dignity and compassion, that nothing was ever too much trouble. The carers got to know Dad's interests and would enjoy chatting to him about his hobbies, reading to him and playing music. They were quick to notice any medical issues which were always relayed to the office and dealt with immediately. They were also mindful of how my sister and I were coping with the situation and always a huge support to us too. It was so comforting to know that Dad was receiving the best possible care and was incredibly fond of everyone who looked after him. I genuinely cannot praise this company highly enough and would recommend them wholeheartedly.
Thank you so very much for your kind words. The team sends their very best wishes to you all, it was a true honour to be able to help care and support for your dad. Kind wishes from all of the team.
I have a mother who needs home care! This is not my first experience with finding good home care but l live abroad and have limited time to find a solution! One staff member of Visiting Angels was wonderful! She answered all my concerns and put my mother at ease, as prior to this visit was not cooperating! Then came the first visit, the staff member introduced us to another staff member and now my mother is very happy! Thank you both.
Thank you so very much, we will pass these wonderful comments back to both members of staff, and thank you for trusting us with the care for your mother. It is always an honour and privilege to help.
