As with all elderly persons they are apprehensive about allowing someone into their home. After a bit of persuasion and research it was agreed to give it a go! We opted to contact the Homeinstead Team in Belfast. From the onset they were what I can only describe as brilliant! They were very
professional in their approach to our request. They explained what they could provide for us in respect of additional care and it was agreed to give it a trial period to see how things went. That was 3 years ago and only due to the fact that Eileen 's health declined and she now required a Care Home placement we would still be utilising the service. From the Management Team down to the dedicated and very caring Carers themselves I could not praise them enough. On occasions they went far beyond what was expected of them and this was truly appreciated by all family members. Any apprehension of letting someone new into their home soon faded and they looked forward to the daily visits and chats.

I cannot thank the Home Instead, Belfast team enough for the care and support that they have provided to mum and dad. The service far exceeded our expectations. My mum in particular was very reluctant at first, but the carers took the time to gently get to know them, to build up the relationship and
to interact with them in a thoughtful and caring way. We are so grateful for for all that they have done. Their recruitment process is excellent. Although there are some firm favourites, every single person has been just lovely and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

We were introduced to Home Instead (Belfast) by my sister-in-law, who had used the company in London. They were from the outset, an excellent company initially employed them in the role of companionship but as my husband's needs become greater in helping with personal care, showering, dressing etc.
The carers displayed great kindness and care and they became more than that, forming a bond with myself and my family, which we valued so much.
(Just as an afterthought, the 1 month's notice is a little steep).

My dad had care of visitors from Home Instead for the past five months and both he and I have been really pleased with the service. He was a little reluctant at first, as I imagine many independent people are, but after just a few visits he got to enjoy the time with them and looked forward to them
coming. The management team went above and beyond to rearrange and re-organise care arrangements, often at short notice, which gave us both great peace of mind. I have no doubt that the positive experience with Home Instead definitely helped him remain independent for a few more months, as he wished. Happy to recommend.

Home Instead were able to provide care for my father at very short term notice. The service and care provision have been exceptional and I would recommend them to any family looking for top-quality care for their loved ones, nothing has been too much trouble for them. Highly recommended.

Short notice service. The carer was fantastic. Office staff were great. The care provided felt like a premium service and my grandad was very happy with the Standard. Carer was very attentive and understanding of the situation. I would recommend Home Instead Belfast to everyone I know

We have been using Home Instead (Belfast) for the past year for help with my parents. The care and treatment they have received has been excellent. I have also found the company to be extremely flexible on the services they offer.

Dad required some extra help following discharge from hospital following an operation on his leg, we reached out to Home Instead to get him some help in the morning alongside a number of other private care companies. I would like to specifically call out the very high level of professionalism of the
care manager I spoke to in Home Instead and who came out to speak to dad about his needs. He was incredibly helpful, responsive and attuned to the needs of Dad and regularly kept me in the loop - open and upfront, helpful and personable in tone. The carers who came out to dad very quickly built up a strong rapport and respect with dad which went both ways - ‘nothing was ever a bother for them’ dad would say. We had a great experience with Home Instead Belfast at a very challenging time for Dad, it’s a very well run company with a caring ethos throughout in our experience.

My Mum was reluctant to use this service - she was completely against it from the beginning. The carers who originally came in must have wondered what they were letting themselves in for. That quickly changed and my Mum had got into the habit of hanging up my phone calls because her friends
(carers) had arrived and she was more interested in talking to them than me! I can't thank Home Instead Belfast enough in the help they have provided over the last few months - the level of compassion, friendship and help they have given to my mother has been above and beyond. Calls if they had even the slightest concern were frequently made to me - I can't recommend highly enough.

Home Instead have been amazing from first contact and with their ongoing service. The caregivers who visit my Mum are wonderful and Mum sees them as her friends, that's what she calls them. I cannot rate the service, professionalism, care and understanding that Home Instead provide highly enough.

Very pleased with the service offered by Home Instead. Professional and friendly initial assessment/discussion of care needs and then put in place the package very quickly. We have two carers coming on different days to provide visits of generally 2 hours to offer a wide range of help, support and
companionship. The carers are both excellent and extremely reliable coming at precisely the agreed time every day. Very happy with the support provided.

My sister and I have been happy to use the services of Home Instead (Belfast) to keep our elderly mother in her own home for the last three months. The carers coming in twice a day have taken a lot of worry from us. They treated Mum with dignity and efficiency, and the office staff were always quick
to deal with any queries and were good at keeping us informed.

I found Home Instead on an internet search when my parents were in need of a bit of extra help at home. I have found them to be very professional, friendly and caring and they gave my parents excellent support when they needed it. Would definitely recommend this care provider.

My family decided to look for some home help for our mum after my dad died, I phoned a few companies, but instantly knew once I spoke to Home Instead they were professional and gave us confidence that mum would be well looked after. The carer who comes to see mum is fantastic and nothing is too much
trouble, it gives us such comfort knowing that she has someone calling and they are so flexible when needed. We couldn't recommend them enough.
