View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Northwich)I am generally pleased with the service from Helping Hands. Had a couple of hiccups earlier in the journey but these were sorted out satisfactorily. We generally have the same carer twice a week at a regular slot which l have found beneficial to my husband with dementia. He has confidence in her care and is treated with dignity and even looks forward to the visits.
My parents were not looking forward to getting Carers , but now they are so glad they did, all the ladies are very Friendly and i can relax now to know they are getting proper meals with fresh vegetables every day and a pudding. They now wash and dress my Mum every morning and give her her pills. They also help out with ironing, cleaning emptying bins checking the fridge for out of date food. They make the bed and change the bed and put clothes away. The weekly rota is excellent as I can let my Mum know who is coming . Me & my brother now have peace of mind that they are being looked after , I ring the ladies in the office too and they are also very friendly and very helpful I fully recommend Helping Hands.
All carers are friendly, well presented and helpful. Most have good timekeeping, when they are unable to be so due to e.g. traffic, I am kept informed. Most of the time they use their full hour and look for additional tasks or ask Is there anything else I can help with? When I feel rushed (not often) I have contacted the office. I have a few 'main carers' i.e. most often here; they know my routine and if they spot something that needs doing will either just get on and do it, or let me know that they will action it the next day.
Helping Hands have been looking after both my parents then my mum for 10 months now. They have been such a support through my dad's death and my mum's changing needs. Strong relationships quickly grew with the team of carers. They did everything they could for my dad. Mum trusts them and has become very fond of them. Their care has enabled her to stay at home where she wants to be. Helping Hands are really good at getting in touch if they have any concerns. They have been very helpful in communicating with the surgery and pharmacy when needed.
