View Full Details of Elsie's Help at HomeI cannot speak highly enough of the whole team at Elsie's Help at Home. The carers are kind, patient and supportive and the management team were amazing in meeting mum's increasing need for care at very short notice. Every aspect of this organisation is wonderful. They are efficient, professional and support the whole family with kindness and compassion. As my mother's health rapidly deteriorated, her care needs were constantly changing and the Elsie's team were always on hand to meet her needs. Mum received care from a large number of Elsie's carer and each carer showed up on time, and looked after mum with wonderful gentleness, compassion, dignity and good humour. I feel extremely blessed to have had the loving support of the Elsie's Help at Home team and can honestly say it was a privilege to have got to know them. I recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to provide the highest quality of care to their loved ones.
I approached the Manager and her team at short notice following a fall my 88 year old mum had as we'd decided she needed additional support. She made time to see me on her last day in the office before her holiday, to put arrangements in place for mum, to start the next day. I'm calling this out as it set the tone for our interaction with the Elsie's Help at Home team, in that nothing is too much trouble. The carers are amazing! A fabulous bunch of caring, supportive, empathetic ladies who help mum with everything from personal care, to changing beds to making sure she is comfortable and had everything she needs before they leave, but always taking the time to have a chat with mum whilst they are there, helping her. The idea of care support was new to mum but this wonderful team have completely put mum at ease and continue to do so now she's had her hip replacement. The peace of mind the Elsie's Team gives my family is priceless. Thank you
We have been using Elsie's Help at Home for nearly two years now for my 95 year old Mother. I was struggling to cope with her care on my own but apprehensive about getting outside help in. I couldn't have been more wrong the whole team at Elsie's have been nothing short of amazing. The manager is brilliant at working out and implementing the best tailored care that will work for us and she's great at talking to Mum with humour, kindness and respect and my Mum adores her. All the girls who come into Mum are wonderful and so great with helping her with anything she needs and she loves chatting to them and calls them " my girls". The peace of mind I get knowing my Mum is happy and looked after has made such a difference. Anytime I phone the office with any queries the girls are always so helpful and make any changes we may need immediately. I cannot praise the whole team highly enough and would 100% recommend them to anyone for excellent care, they really are wonderful.
Following a complicated hip fracture, I was in need of help to do the most basic things. When the limit of NHS came, I had to find an alternative, and a friend recommended Elsie's Help at Home, and I am pleased that they did, as the carers arrive on time, are friendly and help in any way they can; they also encourage me to improve my movements. I look forward to their visits.
We used Elsie's Care at Home initially as companion visits for my mother. Following a series of falls, her care needs increased, and the team at Elsie's was able to put additional care visits in place. At every visit, Mum was treated with respect, dignity and above all, kindness by the team of carers. Thank you.
Following my mother's discharge from the hospital, Elsie's Help at Home provided daily support to both my mother (78) and father (84). The care staff have been fantastic and very accommodating - it can be difficult for all when someone new is introduced to the family home after so many years of independent living. The advice and support provided by the Manager and the entire team have been excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending Elsie's Help at Home.
I contacted Elsie's Help at Home as I felt my father needed extra support. Struggling with day to day care, although he already had a carer in once a day, this wasn't enough. When we met with the Manager she went carefully through the care and support that dad needed, identifying where they could help. Dad was so pleased with the care he received. The ladies didn't just do basic tasks, but also brightened his day. They noticed where they could help him, little things, like moisturising his feet which he really appreciated. When he became dependent on a feeding system, the whole team took training so that they could continue to look after him. I felt that was going above and beyond. The tasks that his cancer required were complex in terms of preparation of medication. They never once said that it was too much or couldn't do it. I am very grateful for everything that was done for dad, the resulting peace of mind it gave to him and my family. I have no hesitation in recommending them.
We needed someone to sit with my bed-bound husband while I took a break. All the people who came were friendly and he enjoyed their company and looked forward to the visits. They also made themselves useful by doing the ironing or any other jobs they noticed, all without fuss. Thank you most sincerely.
We used Elsie's Help at Home when we visited our daughter in Hatfield Peverel this December. We live in the North East and I was so anxious about how we could visit whilst supporting my husband who has PSP with limited mobility. The whole team were amazing, efficient, caring and kind. My husband received the best care possible and I had much needed respite during our stay. Thank you so much for supporting us - would totally recommend.
Efficient friendly and reliable. Generally very cheerful and amenable staff. The team have provided good support and care for my father, helping to allow him to remain in his own home. Have always arrived as expected and that is very reassuring. Thank you!
Elsie's has been personally bespoke to our needs, good listeners to how to work with parents and changing situations, and sensitive to their individual needs. Can't recommend them enough! Thank you so much!
We used Elsie's Help at Home for my dad a couple of years ago and found the service was excellent so when my mum needed care earlier this year we knew we would use them again. It all happened very quickly and Elsie's put in a care plan immediately to suit our needs. The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My mum always enjoyed their visits and would have a laugh with the carers. This company is a credit to the industry. The family would like to thank you for all your help and would definitely recommend your services to others.
The manager and her team are a delight. They bring reliability, compassion and humour - along with efficiency and understanding of the challenges we face -to a difficult situation. They have been a great support to me and my sister whilst giving Mum and Dad the best chance of maintaining their independence.
We found Elsie's through the recommendation of a friend of a carer who made the move over to Elsie's. Their ethics are client-based. Our previous carers from another firm had let us down badly. From the very first visit, my parents had a great connection with the owner. Very warm, knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell immediately that her team of carers are superb at their jobs and, have a natural affinity with the elderly. After having a bad experience with our previous firm of carers, it was so refreshing to trust Elsie's with the care for my parents. They are inclusive and both my parents are treated with respect and kindness. It's been some time since my parents have been heard loudly laughing, but this is now a regular occurrence. The whole of the family is so pleased with their care, Absolutely first-class. All of the carers deserve individual praise. Thank you all. Highly recommended.
Outstanding care and professionalism on every level have been given to my mother from the very first meeting to the present day. Also, my mother really looks forward to seeing each member of the care team each day they visit her. I truly would recommend Elsie’s Help at Home to anyone who seeks excellent home care.
I found this company online last year, we had a home visit before we used the service. My husband was very happy to use the company. The ladies are friendly and use all the time we pay for, in fact, they left my kitchen very clean and tidy and my husband is happy so when I go away if he is properly cared for I know I can enjoy my breaks. Thank you
The best staff anyone would want in their home. Always cheerful and make sure all is well before they leave. They chat away to my husband which gives him a good start to his day. Would happily recommend.
The management of Elsie's Help at Home was outstanding. There was always someone to talk to giving encouragement and advice. The company was extremely flexible and was able to cope with changing circumstances. Whilst I didn't experience the care directly I did witness some of the care and it was clear that the ethos of Elsie's Help at Home was passed to all their carers.
Elsie's Help at Home have been in my father's life for two years now. Every single member of his team have delivered outstanding customer service, that exceeds expectations. They all have the same values of the business, that they care deeply about the people they look after, and treat them with with the love, care and respect that they give to their own families. This creates a very personal service, which you do not find in other care companies. Not only do they respect and care about my Father deeply, but the manager supports me too, with weekly updates, and her knowledge and wisdom are so valuable and so welcomed. They have been a beacon of light in what has been some very dark times, with constant reassurance, reliability, honesty and integrity. I trust all of my father's team implicitly, and they are all sensitive to his ever-changing health needs. I would not have been able to care for my father without them. They are without doubt, exceptional, professional, caring and unique.
My father is 98 years old and is a very proud man and has found coming to terms with old age and the associated health problems very difficult to accept....but as you can imagine we are now in a position where he needs some support in his routine for his own well being. He has categorically refused any previous offers of help and support so we had our concerns about this moving forward successfully. Once we contacted Elsie's Help at Home (my sister and I thought they sounded perfect as they offer a bespoke service tailored to that client). The Manager came and met dad, she was very understanding, thoughtful and respectful she understood dads hesitancy and suggested that she come back the following week with one of the carers in her team. The carer was as equally respectful and understanding and has been a godsend undertaking some domestic tasks, dad is now chatting about things she can help him with in the future.....when he is ready of course! What a find and would highly recommend it.
