Elsie's Help at Home have been providing care for my neighbour for over 18 months. The visits started with an hour twice a week, now she has three visits a day, The staff are amazing and help my neighbour with domestic, medication and socialising. She always looks forward to their visits and they are
a huge support in upholding my neighbours wish to live in her own home, whilst keeping healthy and safe with dementia.

Mum has dementia with multiple areas of her life that need support. We engaged Elsie's around 2 years ago. Lyndsey was the first contact and she set the standard.
I have relied on their vast experience for advice and support as I am mums overall carer.
Mum relies on the ladies for all her day to day
needs and they are always met.
The communication is exceptional. They feel like an extension of family at times, the care and empathy displayed confirms that despite it being a challenging role all of the ladies deliver.
Staff 5 stars because they are fab
Care/Support 5 stars because they do care and don't just support mum they support me too.
Management 5 stars Lyndsey and her team are very available to the customer and will address any difficulties you have.
Dignity 5 stars, these ladies are professionals
Value for money 5 stars, I have no idea how prices compare, I never looked elsewhere. But yes great value for the service provided.

My husband is happy to use this service while I take a break from caring for him. He enjoys the company the carers bring. They chat to him while preparing his lunch and getting something for his tea. I feel happy knowing that he is being fed and cared for.

Towards the end of last year my 95 year old mum started to find many aspects of daily life more challenging, and we realized that we needed help. We contacted Elsie's care at home, and they visited mum to assess her and her home. We were given lots of invaluable advice, and are now having care visits
a couple of times a week, with a view to increasing this as mum's needs inevitably become greater. They arranged for mum to have the same carer for all visits, and mum's initial reticence to have help has now changed to complete acceptance. We feel that this is entirely due to the professionalism and patient attention of the carer.

The carers and office staff at Elsie's Help at Home have been a huge support to our parents on a daily basis, providing them with vital personal care, administering medication, helping at mealtimes and most importantly friendly chats. Our parents' care plan has changed on several occasions but nothing
is too much trouble for the team and this has proved invaluable for us, knowing that our parents are in good hands. We are able to see updates and information regarding each visit on an app which gives us peace of mind and comfort, knowing for example, that they are safely and comfortably in bed. We can't thank the team enough for their kindness, friendliness and flexibility and would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable team to care for their loved ones.
Reply from Lyndsey Ryan, Manager at Elsie's Help at HomeThank you for your lovely feed-back Claire, we are pleased that you and your family are happy with the service.

We employed Elsie's help at home for my Dad who was 93 and living on his own. We felt he needed help with meals and hygiene twice a day. Dad was fiercely independent but Lyndsey spoke to him in a way that put his mind at ease. All the carers that attended my dads were of the highest quality, very caring
and all had the time to treat him with care and dignity. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. They are extreme caring and professional

I cannot speak highly enough of the whole team at Elsie's Help at Home. The carers are kind, patient and supportive and the management team were amazing in meeting mum's increasing need for care at very short notice. Every aspect of this organisation is wonderful. They are efficient, professional and
support the whole family with kindness and compassion. As my mother's health rapidly deteriorated, her care needs were constantly changing and the Elsie's team were always on hand to meet her needs. Mum received care from a large number of Elsie's carer and each carer showed up on time, and looked after mum with wonderful gentleness, compassion, dignity and good humour. I feel extremely blessed to have had the loving support of the Elsie's Help at Home team and can honestly say it was a privilege to have got to know them. I recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to provide the highest quality of care to their loved ones.

I approached the Manager and her team at short notice following a fall my 88 year old mum had as we'd decided she needed additional support. She made time to see me on her last day in the office before her holiday, to put arrangements in place for mum, to start the next day. I'm calling this out as
it set the tone for our interaction with the Elsie's Help at Home team, in that nothing is too much trouble. The carers are amazing! A fabulous bunch of caring, supportive, empathetic ladies who help mum with everything from personal care, to changing beds to making sure she is comfortable and had everything she needs before they leave, but always taking the time to have a chat with mum whilst they are there, helping her. The idea of care support was new to mum but this wonderful team have completely put mum at ease and continue to do so now she's had her hip replacement. The peace of mind the Elsie's Team gives my family is priceless. Thank you

We have been using Elsie's Help at Home for nearly two years now for my 95 year old Mother.
I was struggling to cope with her care on my own but apprehensive about getting outside help in.
I couldn't have been more wrong the whole team at Elsie's have been nothing short of amazing.
The manager is
brilliant at working out and implementing the best tailored care that will work for us and she's great at talking to Mum with humour, kindness and respect and my Mum adores her.
All the girls who come into Mum are wonderful and so great with helping her with anything she needs and she loves chatting to them and calls them " my girls".
The peace of mind I get knowing my Mum is happy and looked after has made such a difference.
Anytime I phone the office with any queries the girls are always so helpful and make any changes we may need immediately.
I cannot praise the whole team highly enough and would 100% recommend them to anyone for excellent care, they really are wonderful.

Following a complicated hip fracture, I was in need of help to do the most basic things. When the limit of NHS came, I had to find an alternative, and a friend recommended Elsie's Help at Home, and I am pleased that they did, as the carers arrive on time, are friendly and help in any way they can; they
also encourage me to improve my movements. I look forward to their visits.

We used Elsie's Care at Home initially as companion visits for my mother.
Following a series of falls, her care needs increased, and the team at Elsie's was able to put additional care visits in place. At every visit, Mum was treated with respect, dignity and above all, kindness by the team of carers.
Thank you.

Following my mother's discharge from the hospital, Elsie's Help at Home provided daily support to both my mother (78) and father (84). The care staff have been fantastic and very accommodating - it can be difficult for all when someone new is introduced to the family home after so many years of independent
living. The advice and support provided by the Manager and the entire team have been excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending Elsie's Help at Home.

I contacted Elsie's Help at Home as I felt my father needed extra support. Struggling with day to day care, although he already had a carer in once a day, this wasn't enough. When we met with the Manager she went carefully through the care and support that dad needed, identifying where they could help.
Dad was so pleased with the care he received. The ladies didn't just do basic tasks, but also brightened his day. They noticed where they could help him, little things, like moisturising his feet which he really appreciated.

When he became dependent on a feeding system, the whole team took training so that they could continue to look after him. I felt that was going above and beyond. The tasks that his cancer required were complex in terms of preparation of medication. They never once said that it was too much or couldn't do it. I am very grateful for everything that was done for dad, the resulting peace of mind it gave to him and my family. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

It was a pleasure to support him. We will be sure to pass your positive feedback on to the team that visited.

We needed someone to sit with my bed-bound husband while I took a break. All the people who came were friendly and he enjoyed their company and looked forward to the visits. They also made themselves useful by doing the ironing or any other jobs they noticed, all without fuss. Thank you most sincerely.

We used Elsie's Help at Home when we visited our daughter in Hatfield Peverel this December. We live in the North East and I was so anxious about how we could visit whilst supporting my husband who has PSP with limited mobility. The whole team were amazing, efficient, caring and kind. My husband received
the best care possible and I had much needed respite during our stay. Thank you so much for supporting us - would totally recommend.

We used Elsie's Help at Home for my dad a couple of years ago and found the service was excellent so when my mum needed care earlier this year we knew we would use them again. It all happened very quickly and Elsie's put in a care plan immediately to suit our needs. The staff were very friendly, helpful
and knowledgeable. My mum always enjoyed their visits and would have a laugh with the carers. This company is a credit to the industry. The family would like to thank you for all your help and would definitely recommend your services to others.

  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
