Once we contacted Elsie's Help at Home (my sister and I thought they sounded perfect as they offer a bespoke service tailored to that client). The Manager came and met dad, she was very understanding, thoughtful and respectful she understood dads hesitancy and suggested that she come back the following week with one of the carers in her team. The carer was as equally respectful and understanding and has been a godsend undertaking some domestic tasks, dad is now chatting about things she can help him with in the future.....when he is ready of course! What a find and would highly recommend it.

Hello, I'm Alison and have been a carer with Elsie's for the past 10 months. Previous to this I have spent the majority of my employment working with people and supporting them in gaining the most from their lives. In capacities such as caring for the elderly, those with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours and in a special home for deaf people. I've also worked for the NHS as a theatre nurse and spent over 7 years in a pharmacy .
I am passionate that people should be able to access support when needed, and that they can continue to lead full lives wherever possible.
Of course the most important things to me are my family, including Tommy the Podenco .
My name is Kelly, and I have 16 years of experience in the care industry and am really passionate about my role in supporting people to remain in their own home with the right support.
When I am not working, I enjoy walking my dog and spending time with my children and grandchildren.

I started working in care at the age of 18, following in my mum’s footsteps. I have worked for the NHS, specialising in oncology and then went back into community care and expanded my knowledge in dementia.

In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, especially my 15-year-old daughter and my 93-year-old Nan.
