Following my mother's discharge from the hospital, Elsie's Help at Home provided daily support to both my mother (78) and father (84). The care staff have been fantastic and very accommodating - it can be difficult for all when someone new is introduced to the family home after so many years of independent living. The advice and support provided by the Manager and the entire team have been excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending Elsie's Help at Home.

We used Elsie's Care at Home initially as companion visits for my mother.

Following a series of falls, her care needs increased, and the team at Elsie's was able to put additional care visits in place. At every visit, Mum was treated with respect, dignity and above all, kindness by the team of carers. Thank you.

I contacted Elsie's Help at Home as I felt my father needed extra support. Struggling with day to day care, although he already had a carer in once a day, this wasn't enough. When we met with the Manager she went carefully through the care and support that dad needed, identifying where they could help. Dad was so pleased with the care he received. The ladies didn't just do basic tasks, but also brightened his day. They noticed where they could help him, little things, like moisturising his feet which he really appreciated.

When he became dependent on a feeding system, the whole team took training so that they could continue to look after him. I felt that was going above and beyond. The tasks that his cancer required were complex in terms of preparation of medication. They never once said that it was too much or couldn't do it. I am very grateful for everything that was done for dad, the resulting peace of mind it gave to him and my family. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We needed someone to sit with my bed-bound husband while I took a break. All the people who came were friendly and he enjoyed their company and looked forward to the visits. They also made themselves useful by doing the ironing or any other jobs they noticed, all without fuss. Thank you most sincerely.

We used Elsie's Help at Home when we visited our daughter in Hatfield Peverel this December. We live in the North East and I was so anxious about how we could visit whilst supporting my husband who has PSP with limited mobility. The whole team were amazing, efficient, caring and kind. My husband received the best care possible and I had much needed respite during our stay. Thank you so much for supporting us - would totally recommend.

The manager and her team are a delight. They bring reliability, compassion and humour - along with efficiency and understanding of the challenges we face -to a difficult situation. They have been a great support to me and my sister whilst giving Mum and Dad the best chance of maintaining their independence.

We found Elsie's through the recommendation of a friend of a carer who made the move over to Elsie's.
Their ethics are client-based. Our previous carers from another firm had let us down badly.
From the very first visit, my parents had a great connection with the owner. Very warm, knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell immediately that her team of carers are superb at their jobs and,

have a natural affinity with the elderly. After having a bad experience with our previous firm of carers, it was so refreshing to trust Elsie's with the care for my parents. They are inclusive and both my parents are treated with respect and kindness. It's been some time since my parents have been heard loudly laughing, but this is now a regular occurrence. The whole of the family is so pleased with their care, Absolutely first-class. All of the carers deserve individual praise. Thank you all. Highly recommended.

The management of Elsie's Help at Home was outstanding. There was always someone to talk to giving encouragement and advice. The company was extremely flexible and was able to cope with changing circumstances. Whilst I didn't experience the care directly I did witness some of the care and it was clear that the ethos of Elsie's Help at Home was passed to all their carers.

Elsie's Help at Home have been in my father's life for two years now. Every single member of his team have delivered outstanding customer service, that exceeds expectations. They all have the same values of the business, that they care deeply about the people they look after, and treat them with with the love, care and respect that they give to their own families. This creates a very personal service, which you do not find in other care companies. Not only do they respect and care about my Father deeply, but the manager supports me too, with weekly updates, and her knowledge and wisdom are so valuable and so welcomed. They have been a beacon of light in what has been some very dark times, with constant reassurance, reliability, honesty and integrity. I trust all of my father's team implicitly, and they are all sensitive to his ever-changing health needs. I would not have been able to care for my father without them. They are without doubt, exceptional, professional, caring and unique.

My father is 98 years old and is a very proud man and has found coming to terms with old age and the associated health problems very difficult to accept....but as you can imagine we are now in a position where he needs some support in his routine for his own well being. He has categorically refused any previous offers of help and support so we had our concerns about this moving forward successfully.

Once we contacted Elsie's Help at Home (my sister and I thought they sounded perfect as they offer a bespoke service tailored to that client). The Manager came and met dad, she was very understanding, thoughtful and respectful she understood dads hesitancy and suggested that she come back the following week with one of the carers in her team. The carer was as equally respectful and understanding and has been a godsend undertaking some domestic tasks, dad is now chatting about things she can help him with in the future.....when he is ready of course! What a find and would highly recommend it.

I am 90 years old and disabled with osteoarthritis in my spine and knees. When I wake up each morning, it is very comforting to know that one of my lovely lady carers from Elsie’s Help at Home will soon be here to help me to get up, washed and dressed and that I won’t have to struggle through my pain alone. They are always bright, cheerful, reliable, loving and efficient; I look forward to their visits every day and also at night when they see me up to bed.

We have used Elsie's Help at Home for just over a year now, and we could not be happier with the service they have provided with their daily care visits to my Aunt and Uncle, both of whom have Dementia. Their carers are friendly, caring and efficient when they visit and we feel extremely comfortable knowing we can rely on them to notify us of any problems by way of their management team. A special mention for the Manager who we liaise with from the office mainly, and their carer who has more direct contact with my Aunt and Uncle.

Hello, I'm Alison and have been a carer with Elsie's for the past 10 months. Previous to this, I have spent the majority of my employment working with people and supporting them in gaining the most from their lives. In capacities such as caring for the elderly, those with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours and in a special home for deaf people. I've also worked for the NHS as a theatre nurse and spent over 7 years in a pharmacy.

I am passionate that people should be able to access support when needed, and that they can continue to lead full lives wherever possible.

Of course, the most important things to me are my family, including Tommy the Podenco.

My name is Sam, I have 22 years of care experience and have worked for Elsie’s since June 2024 as a carer.

I started working in care at the age of 18, following in my mum’s footsteps. I have worked for the NHS, specialising in oncology and then went back into community care and expanded my knowledge in dementia.

I absolutely love my job and feel so happy to make a difference to people’s lives.

In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, especially my 15-year-old daughter and my 93-year-old Nan.
