Helping you in your own home and delivering your care your way for over 22 years.

The company provides care and support that will meet your needs, whatever they may be.

It could be looking for some help with personal care, food and nutrition, domestic tasks, socialising, shopping, breaks away from home, or some respite at home for you and your family.

As a family-run business, the company understands the importance of seeing a face that you know regularly and building your bonds with their staff, many of whom have worked alongside them for years and in some instances, from when they first opened the business in 2003.

The company has a very knowledgeable, caring, and supportive care team and a Management Team who will ensure your service is running uninterrupted in case of staff sickness or family emergencies, which may happen from time to time. They have always shown commitment and will continue to go that extra mile for you should you require a service at short notice.

All of their staff are fully trained, disclosure checked, and SSSC registered and enjoy a great rapport with their service users and their family members. The company will ensure that your services are delivered your way, and you’ll be happy that you chose a caring, flexible, and empathetic organisation that will adapt to meet your needs.

The care provided is excellent, very helpful and the girls can't do enough to help me. I dread to think what my life would be like without the help I receive. If I could would have them longer than now.

The carers looking after my mum have been amazing . They treat her with such kindness and respect , which gives us so much peace of mind . As a daughter it means everything to know my mum is in safe hands . The carers are not only professional but also warm and compassionate.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (9.000) out of 10 for Ability Care Services is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Ability Care Services is calculated as follows: ( (18 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 18 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Ability Care Services is based on 3 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 4
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
