I have used the services of Agincare for the last 4 months to get me up, washed/showered and dressed each morning. They also change my stoma when necessary. Some carers are more experienced than others but all do an adequate job. All are friendly and keep to times arranged.

generally very good, carers fairly good at understanding what is required-.treat my mother with dignity and ask rather than try to take over. -have formed good relationship with her and she enjoys the interaction when they visit. They seem to understand the frustration she feels about losing much of
her independence and the struggle to cope with the pain. They also recognise that she has all her mental faculties and are respectful of this.

We have used Agincare for many years now. Firstly for my father who was bedridden for his final years he died at 91 and now for my mum who is 96. Mum is mobile, but has had strokes the carers are very considerate. It helps that due to her age Agincare where ever possible give her continuity of staff
so they know mum well. Recently we needed to get mum to bed earlier and Agincare have met her needs and adjusted her rota to suit.

The Agincare carers are perfect for my mother's needs which are for 365 days of the year. Some carers are a lot better than others but all are of a good standard at least, so, thank you very much and I would certainly recommend Agincare overall.

I would like to thank one man for his efforts to help my Dad during January. He has been very engaging with Dad, helping him with his exercises, which he likes to do daily, helping him to learn a few new ones suitable for a 90-year-old man and also teaching him how to be safer using his stairs. Well

For a good while my sister has used the carers that Agincare have provided. My sister, once she got used to them, found them to be as the title suggests caring carers. She had them on an increasing number of visits each day and was always happy to have them come into the house. There have been occasions
when the time of arrival went wrong but this was always put right quickly.
We met some of the carers over time and we always found them pleasant, competent, with good attention to detail, and gave us the feeling we had left our sister in good hands.
We would highly recommend them.

The only thing I am not happy with is having many male trainee carers we have more than our fair share it seems. The carers do not clean my wife's teeth on a regular basis although our old carers did.

The presence of male trainee care workers may be a point of discomfort for some service users, particularly if you are not used to seeing as many as you may have done over the previous few weeks. It is essential for Agincare to ensure that all staff members, regardless of gender, are trained adequately and sensitively in providing personal care. I apologise for any discomfort caused during this period of time. It is completely valid to express concerns regarding the quality of care for your wife and I appreciate your feedback. I will raise your concern at the next care staff meeting and offer additional training to anybody who feels they require improvement.

The main problem is the timings between carers' visits. My partner on several occasions has had a morning call around 9.30 am and 10.30 am but the time he is dressed and seated in his armchair time has moved on half an hour. Breakfast is late and that makes lunch late. They then want to put him to bed
at 7.15 pm which is far too early because there hasn't been enough time for him to have his evening meal.

Always find the carers cheerful and eager to help. Efficient and helpful. Timekeeping on the whole is good - we have "one touch" carers who are quite often under some stress due to timing pressures but this rarely affects their work.

I find the carers very kind, helpful, courteous and respectful. My care needs are met to how I wish to be looked after, if I ask for something to be done it's sorted without a problem.
Prior to them leaving, they always ask if there is anything else needed.

Overall I have found Agincare very good. My mum, bless her, is fairly complex, which I appreciate. I would say 80% of the carers are excellent, show real care, make sure Mum is comfortable before they leave. The other 20% are ok but maybe need to think about what my mum is capable of doing herself,
which physically is very little now, sadly. When there are any issues and I have to phone the office, they are excellent, caring and don’t make me feel a nuisance, although I would rather not have to phone. All in all I would like to thank Agincare for all they do. It would be good if we could vote for carer of the month!

We recently had a short break service assigned to us by Agincare to allow us to have time to ourselves away from my dad, who we are caring for. I have found the Weymouth Care Coordinator to be nothing but helpful with trying to assign us the short break hours under sometimes difficult circumstances
and we usually come up with a compromise on dates. She has always been understanding and willing to sort things out for us, which I am very grateful for. The carers that have been placed with us have been very good with Dad, enabling us to enjoy our time out knowing that he is being well looked after.

Very poor service, lack of communication from management and some carers.
Lack of understanding and wouldn't listen regarding any issues raised and because my care was being funded wouldn't listen to any complaints. I was told that as I was not paying for my care I didn't have a say about anything,
absolutely disgusting behaviour and not the way you treat your client.

We were aware of your concerns raised at the time which were acknowledged and responded to in a timely manner according to our complaints policy. I can confirm a full assessment was carried out with you and your wife documenting your preferences relating to the care and support you required following your 6 weeks of reablement which is funded until a full assessment is carried out. We would like to apologise for any errors in communication that may have occurred following the referral process from the Hospital Discharge team. We proudly work alongside them to make these transitions as smooth as possible by both organisations. We appreciate that it can be a difficult time with a large amount of information given in a short period. Both teams do try to ensure that communication is clear at all stages and are sorry for any confusion or shortfall on this occasion.

Olivia began her career with Agincare at just 19 years old, starting as a care worker in the field. Through dedication, hard work, and a passion for care, she progressed through the roles of Coordinator and Deputy Manager, and now proudly serves as Branch Manager.


Olivia's decision to join Agincare was deeply personal and inspired by her own family's experience- her grandmother received support from Agincare carers, and the compassionate care provided left a lasting impact. This motivated Olivia to pursue a career where she could make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, just as those carers did for her family.
