Consistent, friendly and practical care has been provided for my Mum 5 days a week (providing a hot lunch, and leaving a sandwich tea, and ensuring she has taken her daily medication). This enables Mum to be well-fed, and ensures she has daily contact during the week. Mum is guaranteed one of three carers, which provides continuity for her and she feels she has her own 'care team'. The arrangement has been well-organised by Bluebird.

We'd had a traumatic spell in A&E and there was a lot of uncertainty around when she would be released.
After making initial contact, Bluebird worked very fast to set us up a service remaining flexible about start dates, times and level of care in the first few days as we came to understand what was required.
I found the team very reassuring, they were a calm and reliable source of support in a turbulent time.
I really liked that I was set up on a messaging service immediately and had access to a manager over a weekend to make arrangements and ask questions.
Mum has begun her care and it's going really well - we can't rate them highly enough.

Bluebirds cared for my dad a few years ago and more recently my mum. The quality of the care has been wonderful. The carers have always been professional but very friendly and cheerful, providing companionship aswell as practical help which has been invaluable during difficult times for our family. Communication has also been good and any queries have been answered quickly. It's been great to have access to the carers' notes from each visit through the portal. They have quite simply been a lifeline for our family.

Very very happy with the morning visits to my Mum to help her get ready for the day. All the ladies are lovely. My Mum is so grateful and really enjoys their company. It's such a relief for myself and my siblings as we don't live near.

They have been honest and committed, with a team that has shown compassion and empathy towards my mum, treating her with the care and respect that highlights the high standards that the company delivers in actions, not just hollow, salesmanship words. I have been incredibly impressed by the support my father and I have received from Bluebird Care. I live 200 miles away and to have someone who is so focused and attentive to my father’s care needs gives me such peace of mind. Nothing is too much trouble. The quality of communication is excellent and it’s obvious that supporting vulnerable older adults is not just a job for staff - more their personal calling in life. I am very appreciative of the 5-star service my father is receiving. I believe the carer treats my father as he would his own. Truly amazing. I cannot thank Bluebird Care enough.

Came highly recommended and let us down at every opportunity, from not being able to gain access to the house through an unlocked door to missing out shower calls on 3 separate occasions, massively overpriced for the standard of care that is provided, would not recommend!

After my spell in hospital, we enlisted your company to ease my workload by providing care first thing in the morning. The carer tends to my wife (who is disabled) by giving her a body wash, hair washed, dress and the gives her breakfast. She will then perform other tasks as required with her time slot. We find the carers are cheerful and happy, and we have no complaints whatsoever.

I live alone and experience low blood pressure at times, so need assistance for many tasks. My Bluebird Care Tamworth, Lichfield, Nuneaton & North Warwickshire carer escorts me to all medical appointments. We also go shopping for basic goods and anything else I may need. As well as this, my carer and I have long walks and talk all the time. All this removes most of the demands on my family.

Bluebird Care Tamworth & Lichfield is led by Deborah Lahert.
In 2007, after having spent most of her career in customer service Deborah decided to be a part of the fulfilling care sector as she was passionate about supporting the care needs of the elderly.
Deborah was searching for a more rewarding role that she could demonstrate her passion and commitment to each and every day and that is exactly what she gets in her role as Registered Care Manager and owner of the business.
Furthermore, Deborah admires the founders of Bluebird care, who are an ‘ordinary couple’, dedicated to providing respect and dignity to the vulnerable people in our community, something Deborah can relate to. Deborah believes that these are the perfect foundations for care providers.
Martin has worked in various commercial roles within large organisations and wanted a career that would allow him to put his business skill, experience and knowledge to good use by doing something that would positively impact on others’ lives and when an opportunity came up to purchase the Bluebird Care Tamworth & Lichfield business (where Martin has lived for over 25 years) he jumped at it and is pleased to say that he and Deborah have been the proud owners since June 2018 and look forward to making the business even greater than it is now.
We are passionate about quality, both in the building of a great team of Carers and delivering the best service to our customers. We would be delighted to hear from anyone who is seeking homecare for themselves, for a loved one, or simply like to talk to someone about the service we provide.
Tina Carter, our Care Manager, has worked for Bluebird Care Tamworth & Lichfield for over five years.
Tina enjoys working for Bluebird Care as we provide a very professional environment with a constant focus on delivering quality care and customer service.
In November 2017, Tina was promoted into the care manager position. Tina is a trainer in Medication Administration, Manual Handling, Basic Life Support, including CPR and Peg Feed. Tina believes home care is a fantastic and meaningful career, and is a prime example of the opportunities that exist at Bluebird Care and thoroughly enjoys working in the care industry.
Hannah Burgess, our Marketing Executive, started with Bluebird Care in June 2020.
Hannah has previously worked in the Travel and Tourism industry since leaving college but has now decided to develop a rewarding career in the care industry. Hannah loves that with Bluebird Care people are able to remain independent and living in their own homes. Hannah feels lucky to have joined our great team to help promote and show the high quality of care we provide to the community.
