Bluebird Care Cannock & Great Wyrley provides high-quality home care, live-in care and support services to keep customers safe and comfortable in their own homes covering Cannock, Penkridge, Cheslyn Hay, Coven, Great Wyrley, Essington, Hednesford, Rugeley and the surrounding villages.

The provider offers a unique choice of flexible homecare and support services tailored to the needs of the individual, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The service can range from a 30-minute visit to a night-sitting service to 24-hour live-in care. Care can be provided to cover a short-term illness, or respite care because the usual carer is having a break. Whatever the need, Bluebird Care dedicated homecare team are happy to discuss all requirements.

The support offered can include flexible homecare solutions that range from washing, bathing, toileting, dressing, administering medication, help with getting up in the morning and back into bed at night. The agency also offers a companionship service for customers, as well as help with household chores, like ironing, cleaning, cooking and shopping.

Bluebird Care has recently launched a Health & Wellbeing Checks Service for all new and existing customers. This new service comprises of a 30-minute appointment from specially trained ‘Care Champions’, who visit once a week to check their customer’s vital signs, such as blood pressure, alertness and breathing, and find out more about their overall wellbeing.

All Bluebird Care employees undergo extensive training in all aspects of care provision and have had an enhanced DBS check.

Can't fault the care my mum received. I felt listened to and that my mum was treated with respect. The call times were important to mum as she was on medication and no call was ever missed or overly late . It is difficult to put your trust in people you don't know but the whole team from carers to
managers made it all so much easier.
The manager dealt with any queries the family and myself had in a fast and respectfully way .

Bluebird has looked after both my parents over the last 12 years. The care provided was both self and social services funded. Dealing with Bluebird was always easy. They are simple to contact and straightforward to talk to. They always went the extra mile to make sure that my dad was fine and rang me,
chemist, doctors, paramedics and the ambulance services. To ensure they were safe. If problems arose and visits were late or missed. The team rang or one of the supervisors would pop in to cover the call. The care gave me a great deal of confidence in them allowing me to go away on holidays without worrying anything was going to be missed. All in all the best money ever spent on my parents, giving my parents independence and peace of mind that a safety net was there if they needed.

We have come back to Bluebird Care and we couldn't be happier! We only left as the council made us due to money issues. They have always been absolutely brilliant with my mom and dad. My mum has been a Bluebird Care Customer for nearly 20 years (it could be possibly more). But reflecting on recent life experiences she has encountered I have to say the team of always been very supportive. It cannot be easy as a carer to move from client to client with some type of restricted timescale
however, at no point has my mum ever felt rushed or left alone because something hasn’t gone completely right in her care plan. Life is not one smooth transition, but the carers that have gone to my mums over many years have always made sure that things run as smoothly as possible for her during the time of their care with her.

My parents were initially reluctant to having carers to support them, but 6 months later they are very happy with the care that Bluebird Care Mid Staffordshire
carers give. As well as support with washing, ironing, and changing bedding, they give my parents the ability to continue with activities outside
the home, such as shopping and appointments which especially helps with my mum's mental health. The carers are patient, supportive and provide social interaction. My parents now think having carers is a great idea and speak very highly of them all.

Staff are always polite and respectful and go out of their way to ensure my dad gets the care he needs. Most Saturdays I receive a programme in the post that informs me which carers are likely to visit me in the week that follows.
Before a new carer comes on her own to visit me she will always have been introduced to me by one of my regular carers. She will know the procedures and will perform the very
efficiently and caringly. My carers are all very friendly as well and it is a pleasure to see them.

Sam has completed her NVQ levels 2 & 3 in Health and Social Care and has achieved a management qualification. Sam has also completed her NVQ level 5 Management. Sam then moved back to Cannock with a new job role of Quality & Compliance Officer for the Mid Staffs and South Staffs Branches in 2016. Sam has now been promoted to Care Manager for Bluebird Care Mid Staffs. Sam is now working closely with Allen to ensure we deliver a high standard of care to all of our customers and that Bluebird care continues to stay compliant in all areas. Emma has been working in the care industry since 1997 & joined us as Senior Care Supervisor at Stafford in 2010, being promoted to care manager for Cannock in 2011. Her nurturing style and commitment to high quality have always been central to her role.
