The care agency were very professional and caring and considerate in their approach. The carers were patient and professional, occasionally, communication let them down. When I phoned to confirm the agency of something it was not always passed onto the necessary person.
From my first contact, the staff were warm, sympathetic, helpful and thorough. They helped me make decisions and guided me through the paperwork; I was reassured and impressed. The carers were friendly and professional, accepted my clumsy assistance with grace and taught me how to work with them. We settled into a challenging but workable routine; my father valued their help and respected them as they did him. When he died everyone went the extra mile to help me; there was even a Bluebird presence at his funeral. I cannot recommend the Gloucester office highly enough.
The service provided to my wife was very good, professional and quite caring as well as very friendly. They also didn't mind doing the entire bit when it came to personal things. They were a friendly lot and very helpful and much appreciated by my wife.
Our carer is cheerful and happy, her visits are a pleasant designated tasks are carried out efficiently and quickly with discretion. Breakfast is presented attractively and neatly. Tasks designated are never refused such as local shopping. Personal care is done sympathetically and with dignity. Her training in wheelchair use has enabled my sister to get up and down a ramp from our house into the garden after months of being housebound.
The service is excellent the care is always provided with the utmost care delivered in a friendly caring way with care and respect. All carers treat me with great dignity and do all I ask of them. I look forward to seeing them and receiving care from them.
When my husband needed care back in 2012, I was recommended to use Bluebird Care by someone who has used several carers and found them the best. When we moved to Gloucestershire in 2013, we transferred tot he local branch.
The carers are well trained and monitored. Thye are sensitive to my husband's needs. If they spot anything unusual they tell me and also report it back to the office, who follow it up with a request to the district nurses to come and visit. I cannot thank the regular carers enough for all they do.
The carers are helpful, friendly and always looking smart. Very supportive.
I have had Bluebird Care looking after my husband for more than 2 years, he is bedbound now with Parkinson's and has dementia. All the care provided is excellent. I have never had a problem with the carers who are well trained and professional.
Bluebird has provided the service that we required. They have always been prompt, efficient and above all, caring and understanding.

John’s career spanned 32 years in the pharmaceutical industry, culminating in a position as Director of Production for a well-known multinational. Gained while working in the UK, Europe and India, John's pharmaceutical background is extremely useful in understanding the medication being taken by our customers, and in professional discussions with healthcare professionals.
John also has a strong interest in health and safety and has a Diploma in Safety Management. His expertise feeds into our health and safety and risk assessment processes and training and contributes to the safety of staff and customers. He also has primary responsibility for the business finances.
John says everything we do from care assessment and planning through to staff recruitment, training and management are underpinned by the simple vision “all of our customers should be looked after with the same care and concern that we would want for our own loved ones”.
Gareth is a franchisee and Co-Director of the business and the eldest son of Gillian.
Starting his career as a software engineer for civilian and military applications, he gained a solid grounding in process design which has been invaluable in identifying efficient business practices.
Deciding in 1997 that he was more of a 'people person', Gareth made his hobby a full-time occupation and became a professional martial arts instructor, teaching Karate and Aikido in Bristol, Swindon and Cheltenham. He still teaches classes in Cheltenham.
The diagnosis of a close family member with Vascular Dementia brought the Care Industry to Gareth's attention in 2007, and in 2008 he joined the family business. Since then he has worked within Bluebird Care as a Care Worker, Care Coordinator, Manual Handling Trainer, and most recently Director.
He sees his role as having responsibility for Customers and Care Workers alike and devotes a significant portion of his time to improving the welfare of everyone involved with Bluebird Care.
