I told you today how happy we are with the 2 main carers who visit my Husband at home. We have great respect for their expertise and professionalism. They have soon become trusted friends. The difference it makes for me to be spoilt too and for my Husband to have someone else to rely on. I am able to go to the village or do some admin or washing without having to stop to resolve my Husband's requirements. I call them our Treasures. Not in a condescending way but as a genuine comment. I trust them implicitly and know that they make life much happier for us. They have got to know our ways, requirements and home in a matter of months. I always give them a hug and a kiss on the cheek when they arrive and leave. My Husband also embraces them too. They have a wonderful relationship with our beloved cat who guards my Husband if anything one else comes to attend to him.

If she could open the door to them she would. She has even shown them where her treats are!

All the carers that I met were very kind and caring. They were particularly patient in dealing with the needs of my friend, really supportive with some of his more challenging habits and they obviously built up a good relationship with him, enabling him to stay in his home as long as possible, this would not have been possible without the qualities of kindness, care, compassion and patience, consistent with all members of the homecare team.

Carers were reliable, friendly, competent and intelligent. My mother ( the client) liked them and all the family members felt supported too. The carers were occasionally delayed, as is inevitable in the job, but never failed to turn up.

Guild Care was my obvious choice due to the good reputation it held. I have not been disappointed over the five years they have supported me. Once I had settled into their care system I began to have a fairly regular carer. Their support enables me to be as independent as possible. Having been using Guild Care Home Care Service for just over one month. I would like to say that the care shown to my husband has been very good, both in the help he has received and the dignity he has been shown. The service overall is good. Sometimes the rota says "Carer to be advised" but I'm never subsequently advised so I have to ring up. I'm unable to compare to there companies as I have never used another company.

Staff that visit my mother are lovely, kind and friendly.

The management side is hard to get hold of, dates of visits are often muddled and it is almost impossible to pay as there is never anyone in the accounts department and never call back, although I leave messages. That's fine I just get to keep my money longer!

It was very reassuring to me in the knowledge that my dad would be receiving regular visits by a person who would give him a hand every day with his regular activities as his health deteriorates. He greatly enjoys the brief company this brings.

My only concern, however, is that one particular carer just gets to know dad on a more personal level and then this person is changed for someone different and small differences occur which is not ideal.

On behalf of my mother who has dementia, we use home care and day care centre services provided by Guild Care. For home care, the carers arrive at the expected time and are extremely courteous and create a good rapport with our mother.

For daycare centre again the Guild Care staff are very welcoming and inclusive and create an enjoyable day for mother, who also says the food/lunch is very nice.

Lacey Job Title: Head of Home Care
Lacey

Hi, I’m Lacey and I’m proud to lead Guild Care’s Home Care service. I’ve worked in Health and Social Care for over 20 years and have a real passion for helping people live independently in their own homes.

After moving from Wales in 2017, I was lucky to find this wonderful charity and quickly knew it was where I wanted to be. I spent three years as Registered Manager before stepping into my current role as Head of Home Care.

We’re proud to offer a service that’s not only high quality but also genuinely caring. I’m supported by an experienced and dedicated team who go the extra mile every day. With a strong understanding of CQC standards and a shared commitment to person-centred care, we’re here to make a real difference to the lives of the people we support.

Kate Job Title: Care Coordinator
Kate

Hi, I’m Kate, and I’m one of the Care Coordinators here at Guild Care. I bring 25 years of experience in the care sector to my role and still find it just as rewarding as when I first started.

My role involves making sure each person’s care is tailored to their needs and that visits are arranged at times that suit them best. It’s important to me that every client feels valued and supported.

Knowing I can help make someone’s day that little bit easier or brighter is what I love most about what I do.

Gemma Job Title: Care Coordinator
Gemma

Hi, I’m Gemma and I’m proud to be one of the Care Coordinators at Guild Care. I’ve worked in the care sector for around three years and love being part of a team that truly makes a difference.

My role is all about making sure every client receives their care calls on time and that their needs are always met. I really enjoy supporting both clients and staff and feel at my best when I’m helping others.

Since joining Guild Care in July 2024, I’ve felt lucky to work alongside such a dedicated team, delivering high quality care across Worthing and the surrounding area.

Lulu Job Title: Domiciliary Care Coordinator
Lulu

Hi, I’m Lulu and I’ve been part of the Guild Care Home Care team since July 2002. I came from a completely different background and had never worked in care before, but joining this incredible team has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

In my role as a Care Coordinator, I support clients and colleagues in lots of different ways. I carry out new needs assessments, risk evaluations, and medication and manual handling assessments. I also help ensure our brilliant care workers feel confident and competent in areas such as medication and manual handling.

No two days are ever the same, but the support and dedication of the team make every challenge worthwhile. I’ve seen so much positive change over the years and feel proud to have been part of Guild Care’s journey for more than two decades.

Frankie Harris Job Title: Care Compliance Officer
Frankie Harris

Hi, I’m Frankie, and I’ve been part of the Guild Care family for over 15 years. I started my journey as a Care Assistant, working my way up to Care Supervisor and Senior, and have had the pleasure of supporting residents across three of our homes.

I’m now Guild Care’s Care Compliance Officer and have been in this role for the past 18 months. More recently, I’ve had the opportunity to join the Home Care team two days a week, helping to support compliance, oversee care plans, and ensure all documentation is up to standard.

My time with the Home Care team has been incredibly positive. We work closely together and are supported by a brilliant leader. Most importantly, everything we do is centred around the people we care for, making sure we’re always delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
