They are meticulous about medication and support my brother appropriately without taking away what independence he has. His two main carers are respectful and kind, and cooperate with whatever he wants to do, enhancing his independence. They attend to his personal care when needed. The main Carers are reliable, and manage the house well and my brother enjoys their cooking. I am so relieved to think he is safe in their hands.
Some carers might not enjoy the quiet rural setting full of wildlife where my brother lives but Mumby's are good at matching the Carer to his needs and environment. They also respond quickly if there are any issues which need sorting.
Excellent agency.
Thank you for your excellent response and ratings of our service. We are grateful for the comments on how we match our staff to clients. We believe this is paramount for the client and the carer to ensure the care runs smoothly and with good continuity. We look forward to continuing to support your brother in his own home.
We have used Mumby's for live-in care for around a year now and we have been very happy with them. If there have been any issues, as there sometimes can be, we’ve contacted one of the staff members and she has always done her utmost to resolve it. We have a carer at present and she is such a great fit for both my mum and our family. Mumby's takes the time to get the right carer and this makes the world of difference to us all as a family. Thank you.
Thank you for your excellent review. We will use any comments to help improve our service. We thoroughly enjoy looking after your Mum and are very happy this helps to give you and your family confidence with the care we provide.
The carers who worked out well with mother, were a great success, and we knew mother was being well looked after, however in the last year of our mother's life, she had many complex health needs, and, as she deteriorated, there were times when her behaviour was challenging, and some carers found this difficult to manage.
In the last weeks of her life, my mother needed palliative care, the carer managed to the best of her ability but not enough experience.
Mumbys are always willing to listen, and be supportive on the telephone, and give good advice when needed. I can recommend them as a good care agency.
Thank you for the feedback, we will use this information to help improve our service. We really enjoyed looking after your Mother, despite her occasional challenging days.
Mumby's were very easy to deal with and were very flexible and accommodating as we struggled to tie down exact care needs and dates for my mother coming out of hospital. The carer provided was both good at providing personal care and had a very friendly and caring nature. The service provided was indispensable and I would not hesitate to recommend Mumby's for live-in care.
Thank you for the outstanding review of the care you and your mum experienced with Mumbys Live-in Care. We were delighted to support Mum with her discharge from hospital and deliver the exact personal care that she required. We use all our reviews to help us understand how we can improve the service for current and future clients.
After almost a year, I have found Mumby's to be a highly competent and trustworthy care provider. Initially caring for my mother, they stayed to care for my father when she had to go to a nursing home. Their carers were proactive in keeping each other informed and sorting issues, working well as a team, despite being very disparate characters. My parents and I feel we were very fortunate in choosing Mumby's. Sadly both parents now have to be.
Dear Nick, it was a great pleasure to have been asked to support Mum and Dad in their lovely home. Your positive feedback helps to ensure our services to our clients are outstanding. We wish you and your Mum and Dad well.
When my mum descended suddenly and unexpectedly into Alzheimer's, with no family living nearby, we tried to manage with daily visits from a care organisation, but this soon became insufficient. Luckily we found Mumby's Live-in Care, and have been matched with a lovely lady who takes great care of my mum and it has taken such a terrible weight and anxiety off our shoulders. We are able to see our mum without the stress of being carers ourselves, while knowing that she is safe, eating well, and being looked after. Nothing will take away the terrible situation, but Mumby's have made it easier to manage.
Dear Jacqueline, thank you for your positive response on the care provided for your Mother. Your reviews help us to continue to improve our service but we were very happy we could support you in the way you wished for.
Our carer is just the ideal match and has quickly become part of our little family. She is fantastic with Dad but provides support to Mum and me too as we navigate this difficult journey together.
We did not choose the situation we are in and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. But we did choose Mumbys and for that I’m grateful.
Dear Sarah - thank you for your outstanding review of our services for Mum and Dad. It is a pleasure to support them both and we are pleased the carer is a good match. Mumbys use the reviews to ensure we continue to provide outstanding service to our clients.
Mumbys on the whole have been unbelievable in this complex situation regarding my mother who had a stroke and was left unable to walk or talk and then lost my father suddenly. They have helped make it possible for my mother to remain in her own home feeling supported and secure which is very important to her and us as a family. The team are always on hand whenever we have any queries or concerns and they are a support and comfort to me as well as my mother.
Thank you Natalie for your positive comments. This helps us to ensure we are delivering the correct care.
We had 2 live-in carers from Mumby's. The first left after 5 days following complaints from the supporting carers. Her care was rough, disorganised and outdated. The second was a companion, not a carer suitable for my mum's needs. She was incompetent, apparently little trained and as the days continued, increasingly unsupported and unhelpful. We have not renewed the contract and will be writing to the CQC about them.
Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you felt the service provided did not meet your requirements but thank you for the review as this does help us to improve the service where necessary.
Mumby's have provided live-in care to my elderly parents these past six months. We have been so impressed at the professionalism and kindness of Mumby's carers. Clearly, they are very well trained for their roles, but it is their sensitive approach during difficult moments that really stands out. This is matched by a very impressive administration/management team for whom nothing is too much trouble. We recommend Mumbys without reservation.
Dear A K, thank you for the review of our services. We use reviews to showcase our business but also help us to improve where necessary.
Mumby's employs very kind and helpful people who are dedicated to providing good care. They have enabled my mother to keep living in her own home at a time - during the pandemic - when there were higher risks to move her to a care home. We are very grateful for their work and it has been a reel pleasure to get to know them.
Thank you for your review. It helps us to grow and maintain our outstanding business.
My elderly parents have been very well cared for by Mumby's for the past 2 and a half years. Mumby's is a professional yet compassionate care agency with a knowledgeable, kind and very patient management team. My parents have quite complicated needs, yet the care managers always try hard to provide them with the best possible care, despite the limited resources available to us. They are always available to speak to on the telephone and always listen to any concerns. The carers themselves have all been kind, considerate, professional and extremely hard-working and have treated my parents as if they were members of their own family. I would thoroughly recommend Mumby's to anyone looking for live-in care for a family member.
Dear Jacquie, thank you for your review which helps us to build our outstanding care. It has been a pleasure to support Mum and Dad.
We would like to thank you for the care and support given to our dad at a very difficult time. All of us were very happy with the quality of care and communication he received whilst he was being supported.
Thank you for your review, this helps us to ensure we are providing an outstanding service.
I was extremley worried when I came out of hospital, as I was living on my own and my ability to move around was greatly minimised. But I need not have worried because my carer was lovely, cooking great meals and generally looking after me. I got a glowing letter from the consultant during my 6-week check-up and that was thanks to my carer making me do the exercises.
Dear Katrina, thank you for your review. It was a pleasure to be able to support and enable you to fitness after your recent admission. It's good to hear that you are now fully mobile and enjoying being back to fitness.
We were truly blessed when we were recommended to Mumby’s by my father's GP. The care and attention to detail have been first-class. Mumby’s are so very kind, thoughtful and professional. I would like to thank his live-in carer for being so lovely and patient with Dad, and the care manager, who has done so much to help us with a difficult situation; she really did go above and beyond what could be expected.
Thank you for your positive feedback and review. This helps us to improve our services and success.
My return to better health and strength has been considerably helped by the care and encouragement provided. From the time of their arrival I have felt that my comfort and progress was of first importance. The house is always well-managed with meals of own choice arriving when expected. The exercise routine is of great value and does help considerably with balance. I have greatly appreciated being free to speak freely to the office staff and thank them for their kindness and advice.
It is great to hear that the service was able to help with your return to better health. Thank you for your feedback.
It was a pleasure to be cared for by a Mumby's carer for just over five days while my husband was in Italy. She had a lovely personality, nothing was too much trouble for her and her main focus was on keeping me safe and preventing me from doing anything which might have led to an accident. Although I did not receive ‘personal care’ from her, I have no doubt that she would have provided this efficiently and tactfully had it been required. Her cooking skills are good, and she was happy to help me with cooking when I asked to be involved. Her understanding of English is excellent. Although she was startled to find that I was able to drive, she came on a few local trips with me, helping to put my walking aids and me safely into the car. I have absolutely no faults to find at all.
Great to hear that you found no faults at all with the carer provided. Thank you for your feedback.
I've been very pleased with the company. It is expensive, but the carers have dealt with some difficult situations! I think it's a great service.
Thank you very much, we really value and appreciate the feedback.
The staff are at the end of the phone line and are very supportive.
Thank you for your positive review., we truly value the feedback from those we help.
Mumby's and their carers are truly outstanding.
My father has had live-in care from a number of agencies for years. Never have we ever experienced the outstanding level of care provided by Mumby's. From the very first call, late one evening in a panic, as the carer due to arrive in 2 days had dropped out, we knew Mumby's were different. They genuinely seemed to care, they called back in the evening and they were determined to help. There is a national care crisis but they managed to find us the most fantastic carer within a few days. They went to meet Dad within 24 hours of the first call, they made sure they found the right person, they checked in on the carer regularly etc.
And then the carer herself ... the lovely carer. She is caring, kind, competent, efficient and best of all for my dad, really good fun too. She has shown so much initiative - getting the plumbing fixed, sorting things at the GP, talking to hearing aid providers etc. She is truly fantastic!
Thank you for such a glowing review, it's so good to hear positive feedback that can go back to the team and care worker.
