Overall Experience

I have nothing but praise for the girls who twice a week come to shower me. Even the subs (holidays etc.) are top notch over the time used. Huge thank you.

Overall Experience
Jenny from the Avante Field Care Team has been visiting my mother once a week for about 6 months. She has made a huge difference to my mother who at 87 has arthritis and struggles with mobility. My Mum also enjoy's meeting Jenny's two assistance dogs when they are able to visit.
Jenny takes my mother out shopping or on day trips and enables her to keep more independence. We've also noticed a marked difference in her confidence levels. Pauline also provides practical support to Mum in caring at home for my 95 year old father who has dementia.
Pauline from the Avante head office checks in regularly with us to assess Mum's ongoing needs. We are looking to use further services from Avante in the future.

My sister and I are hugely grateful to the Avante Team for their help and would recommend them to other families in similar circumstances to ours.

Overall Experience
After a bad experience with two previous care companies, I have now been with Avante Care and Support for six years, and I am extremely happy with the service and care I receive. The carers are very friendly, kind, and caring. They always turn up on time and complete everything that needs to be done. Most carers wear PPE, which I prefer as it gives me extra peace of mind. Personal care is always provided with full respect for my privacy and dignity. Housework is completed to a high standard, and my meals are always prepared and presented nicely.
The office and field care staff are OUTSTANDING. They are all very knowledgeable and confident when managing my care and medication, and they are always extremely helpful. If I ever have a problem, it is sorted out straight away. They also keep me fully updated with any changes to carers who may be coming in.

I am very happy with the care and support I receive.

Overall Experience

I am extremely happy with the service and care I receive from Avante Care & Support, the carers attend to my younger brother 7 days a week at his home address. They are very good communicators and provide support beyond their job.

Advante has cared for my husband since June 2023. He is non-verbal and permanently in bed. The carers are kind, caring and treat him with respect. They chat to him all the time they are attending to him. They always include me in their conversations. I've met quite a few of them over the months. I'm pleased to welcome them all into my home. If I have a problem I'm able to talk to them about it. I class them as friends.

With a few bad experiences with a few agency carers it's been a good experience. It takes time for a carer and service user to get into each other's way of doing things and to know and trust one another. Care is/can be very personal, trust takes time to build. My carer's have become trusted carers, reliable, very competent & trustworthy. I think caring should be classified as a profession, they will always be needed.

Most of the carers are very good, although some are very slow putting up my costs (going over the time allotted). Also the time they come varies on who is working and what their round it. Therefore I have to see who is coming as to whether I start my wife's care or not to keep the costs down! As for recommending, I would but point out my experience.

Overall Experience

My dad has double-handed care four times a day, with meds needed at specific times. As if Avante didn't have enough additional challenges to face this year with Covid, they always manage to provide an excellent service to my dad, even with last-minute changes needed due to hospital visits or (more often these days), cancelled hospital visits meaning care needs to be reinstated at the last minute. For any last-minute or ad hoc requests, they always try to say 'yes' than 'no' and certainly put their service users at the heart of everything they do, which is a comfort and reassurance in these very challenging times.

Tier 4 means that Xmas changes of plans for many service users and their families is now likely to put an additional demand on Avante staff, both to meet their client's needs, and to manage to get a break and time needed for their own families. I do sincerely hope that each and every member of staff is able to grab some well deserved 'me time' over the Christmas period.

Overall Experience
Once again I would like to say thank you to my mum's carer who has gone above and beyond her remit to identify that my mum may possibly have UTI, and she advised me to contact my mum's doctor. It has since transpired that my mum did have an infection and by the carer highlighting this at an early stage, it saved my mum’s health becoming progressively worse and accumulating with a hospital admission.

Knowing that my mum has a Carer who is very professional and genuinely cares about the people she looks after, it puts my mind at rest knowing that my mum is being looked after and in safe hands.
