If I could give zero stars, I would. After a year of stress, neglect, and no accountability, we removed my nan from Lodge Care Group. One carer, who we saw taking items from my grandad's home, once sat outside for 25 minutes, then rushed my nan's personal care in five minutes so she could leave on time. This wasn't a one-off-it was part of a wider pattern.
Our repeated concerns were ignored. When social services got involved, Lodge Care denied any prior contact, appearing to cover their lack of action. The worst failure came when my nan was left without care for over 16 hours, left soiled and alone. We were told this was due to a handwritten letter threatening to withdraw care unless we accepted a carer we had already reported.
Social services were alarmed and unaware of any of this.

This experience was deeply distressing. Think twice before trusting Lodge Care Group with someone you love.

Were disappointed by this feedback, especially as over five years of care, we consistently received positive responses from those closest to the client. Sadly, the dynamic changed when a new family member became involved later, bringing challenges we worked hard to manage respectfully. Our team...

My sister and mum have a great relationship with all of the carers that attend. They do an amazing job with the care they give to my sister and communicate well with the whole family. They are very good at filling out the daily book and keeping mum informed on any concerns they may have and listening to mum with any concerns she may have. Can not fault them. Thank you!

We have had Lodge Care Services for the last six months to assist my wife. And we are really happy with our carer. We have only needed to use one carer, she has always been happy-go-lucky in mood when in our home (which lifts the day) her time keeping is good, she is helpful considerate, caring and she allows my wife to do what she can and steps in when she is unable to do something (this allows my wife to keep her independence as much as possible), She is also very professional.
My wife will not have any other carer if she has a day off.

We have also been correctly invoiced for the works in a regular manner.

We have been lucky enough to be using this care provider since my mum was discharged from hospital. We would not be able to do this without the help from this amazing team. When Mum had to return to hospital one of the carers kept in touch to see how we were getting on. This level of above and beyond care is very much appreciated. I could never have agreed to palliative care at home for my mum without the extra support these wonderful people offer us every day. Thank you.

My aunt has been being visited by Lodge Care Group since she left hospital and although some of the carers are really lovely, attentive and great there are some that are just useless! One lady who uses public transport arrives far too late sometimes past 10pm which is too late to get her to bed and give her her medication. Lately, the level of care has dipped, they are not turning up so she is missing her really important medication once or both times a day. their excuse is they visited but didn't know where they were, which is not an acceptable response as they all know where they are and we know they did not visit. Also, on two occasions they have left her home unlocked and the key safe wide open with the key showing. This is unacceptable and we are looking to remove her very quickly to a more efficient and reliable service. I do not recommend Lodge at all!

The daytime team, always go that extra bit.
Very helpful to Mum who is hardly mobile now.
They are easy to liaise with and always help overcome any obstacles.
They help with her hygiene and ensure her food is good throughout the day.

A big thank you for all your support.

I am so, so lucky to now have Lodge care. They are the third care agency that I have had and the very best. I have been with them for nearly a year. What I love is that they put my care before their own every time.

They pay their staff a little more than most so they get the very best, they train them well and treat them well. They don't overload them to do the impossible like some. I've even heard them pass on compliments from clients which shows their man-management skills, something so rare in this day and age. Even professionals I speak to such as physiotherapists all agree that Lodge are superb. My carers always go the extra mile. If I need extra time, they give it freely. I previously had carers that couldn't get out of the door fast enough which left me feeling as though I didn't matter. Lodge carers also know the importance of a little chat to brighten my day which means so very much as I am housebound. Yes, I am truly lucky to have Lodge Care - the very best!

The carers who come to visit my wife are always in a happy mood and chat with her and make her comfortable each day.

They visit four times a day, seven days a week. She has had the carers for over five years now and is happy with them.

It really brightens my mum’s day seeing her carer. She is more immobile now so really relies on seeing her carer each morning. She lets Mum be herself and encourages her to be herself and feel valued. It’s really wonderful to see the results of the partnership they have formed and really helps to ease my mind from worry in the mornings. Thank you very much.

After caring for my Mum in law for approx 4 months. I cannot express my thanks enough to the lovely ladies who came in daily and brightened up her day. The carers went above and beyond to treat her like an individual and not just the client. They were a great team and genuinely cared which you have to go a long way nowadays. My thanks go out to her care team thank you all you made such a difference.

I found the carers that looked after mum amazing and she often said they were her friends. They were always going the extra mile to ensure she was getting every thing she needed and never left her when she needed medical assistance.

I can not speak highly enough of the care they provided and would recommend Lodge Group Care to anyone who needed care.

The two ladies who attend for my father are excellent. I express my family’s views when I say that these ladies are dedicated in their work and take great care and pay attention to ensure everything is done the way my father wants it. They listen to him and treat him with respect. And they have our respect. My mum calls them her angels. Thank you

Adult social care helped us find some help for me to care for Mum, who has dementia. Mum is so happy with her carer that she asks "when is my friend coming?". We are all really happy, even our labrador wiggles his tale.

All the staff from Lodge Care have been brilliant firstly with my dad following a recent stay in hospital but more recently with both my mum and dad now that we have intensified their care package for their diverse and various needs. The carers have all been kind, patient, understanding, and proficient in their duties and have answered all our questions and fitted into mum and dad's life with ease. They have worked as much as possible to the times that fitted in with mum and dad's life rather than around their own timetables which we have very much appreciated. Thank you to all the carers and also the office staff who have communicated everything so clearly to us, you are all so kind and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending your services.

My Mum has been fortunate enough to have had one of the best carers at Lodge Group and we are quite sad that we are not able to stay with this Agency. The care patience and compassion that we have received has been great. Thank you for all that you have done for us. It's not a job but a dedication.

Since coming out of hospital end of January mum has been looked after by Lodge Care. The carers were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them, and mum looked forward to seeing them every day. We managed to keep mum in her own home for longer than we thought possible, due to the care the girls gave mum. They became a big part of our lives, even though only for a short while. Cannot thank them all so much. The office staff, day and out of hours, were very helpful with any questions I had surrounding mum's care. It was reassuring to know there was always someone at the end of the phone to support us. Once again a big thanks to everyone.
