Lodge care were appointed upon dad being discharged from hospital. All of the carers have shown compassion and provided valuable services to dad and all our family, they have made the transition seamless for us. Special praise goes to the Lodge Group Care Team.
I have been very impressed with the care I've received since breaking my hip. I feel lucky to have had the same carer for every visit so far. She is friendly and always cheerful, helping me with the personal care I need and ensuring that I am comfortable. The one time she was running late, she contacted me to make me aware and check I was OK. She does everything I ask her to and always checks that I have everything I need before leaving. Thoroughly recommended!
I cannot speak highly enough for the carers and the management team - my mum has been bedridden for the last four weeks but the team have been both patient and shown her dignity - she has dementia so her case is not easy to deal with and my dad is prone to moods with suspected dementia and can be difficult - whenever I ring for an update it is readily provided - hopefully you will not need this service but if you do and want peace of mind these are the team.
The ladies at Lodge Care have been looking after my dad since he came out of the hospital. They are friendly and very caring, they have a laugh with dad and always take time to chat and listen to what he wants. They are flexible as well. Without their help, dad wouldn't be able to stay in his own home where he is happy. Thank you, girls.
Carers very caring and sympathetic and understand the patients needs.Always concerned and careful with all their coverings due to the (pandemic ) Because of my husbands Dementia it’s sometimes difficult to give care and attention.Thank you for all the care
My mum was very pleased with the care she received while recovering from her broken hip. The service she received was very reliable, caring and considerate to her needs. She has asked me to express that without the positiveness and encouragement from her carer she would not have made such a good and speedy recovery, she wishes to convey her thanks.
Excellent care providers. All the staff are extremely friendly, professional and kind. I had to speak to the office a couple of times about timings of daily visits, and these were quickly resolved. Highly recommend.
All the ladies who came to care for my mother were wonderful. Kind, thoughtful, gentle and very patient. They were efficient in carrying out their tasks and were all so cheerful even after what must have been a very long day for them. We can't thank them all enough for the help my mum received.
They are just so efficient, caring and reliable, especially two particular carers who are caring for my dad. They are his guardian angels. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They need to be paid much more than they are getting for their dedication.
I am pleased to be able to recommend the care provided to my mother which covers the period of May 2019 to date. Sadly as a result of a fall and admission to hospital, she will not be returning home and will be transferred to a Nursing Home and thus the Home Care package will cease. Mum has been fortunate to be cared for mainly by two Lodge staff, who are both a credit to Lodge, and with whom Mum has developed a close personal relationship.
I would like to express my gratitude to your wonderful carers who assist my mother every day. The service is superlative. The ladies are kind, knowledgeable, friendly and highly respectful and reliable. They are truly a joy and provide a sense of security. Thank you to these superheroes!
Having come from another home have enjoyed the staff of the Lodge who have treated me with respect. My regular girl and weekend girl (I call them all my girls) are special to me and as with the others have a nice lot of banter going on. I speak my mind with no offence and I get it back, that's fair. My only bug bare as I like to get out in the garden is the time of my first visit I understand if they have problems but I think I'm too easy.
I am so pleased with the professionalism of the carers, nothing is to much trouble. They are very good listeners and readily offer advice. Every one of the carers I have come in contact with, and this must be at least ten, are very polite. They have attended to the needs of my mum being very gentle and patient. They are very clean and have excellent standards, I cannot thank them enough for their ongoing care. Every week I am contacted by the office to make sure every need is met this is so reassuring.
My comments;
1. Use of personal mobile phone and talking in their own language; if it is an emergency then it is fine.
2. If the carer is going to be late, then we should be informed. Also not to say she is around the corner.
3. Some carers always in rush, in spite of having half an hour.
There are obviously times when the carers are late (we understand that sometimes this can't be helped), but on the whole, the service runs really well.
I have been especially impressed at how well they have coped during the lockdown. The office has been ringing Mum regularly to check that she ok with her carers, medicine and food, plus they even supplied a Sunday Roast one weekend!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.
I have been with Lodge Group for about 6 years and have had many different carers in that time. I find my regular carers are punctual, trustworthy and efficient. They are also polite to me and we usually have a good laugh.
My dad has the same carers who are fantastic, and so nice and even support my mum with a cup of tea and chat. They never let my dad down and with me and my sisters not being able to attend recently, we knew that they were looked after. My family are so happy with Lodge Group.
Thank you Lodge Group Care for being so kind, caring, understanding and supportive with my auntie. The staff have been so lovely. It’s really appreciated, especially when I can’t be there. It’s nice to know she’s in good hands.
Most of the carers are lovely, but they have too many calls to make, so they are up against it from the start. Manager promises the world, never keeps her promises. Her manager doesn’t even respond.
My mother who is 96 was often left until after lunch to be washed/dressed and in the evening was sometimes left until 9-10 at night and has been left out on occasions. When phoning would be told by the manager, you can do it. Have had carers go off with keys and not shut the door properly. Manager promises you everything but does not deliver - very incompetent! Lodge care withdrew from our area in February and was the best thing to happen! We now have a new provider who is on time, competent with a regular carer.
