We cannot thank NCCN enough for the care they provided our mother. We changed from a previous appointment and the difference was so noticeable, carers afforded mum loving care and attention and on many occasions a really good laugh - her needs and concerns were listened to and it completely transformed her quality of life. OUTSTANDING company and AMAZING people. Thank you so much.
Thank you for the incredible feedback and taking the time to review our service. We are really pleased to have been able to provide your mother with high quality care. Thank you again
Thank you all.
Thank you we are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you both next year.
- On the whole regular times are adhered to.
- In case of medical needs, they will contact the doctors or District Nurses.
- Will also leave me regular messages/notes in need of any shopping that I have
forgotten.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, we are pleased you are so happy with our service and proud to be able to offer you a high-quality service.
I have been using the service for about a year and I am very satisfied with them. They are very kind and also very helpful and caring. It is nice to chat with them as I am housebound and they would do more for me if I needed it.
Thank you for taking the time to review our service. We are pleased that you feel the benefit of our service and are happy to be your provider.
I will never be able to thank them enough for the care they have shown me.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback! We are so pleased that you are happy with the service you receive and proud that the staff team show such professionalism and support to you.
I have been using New Concept Care & Nursing Ltd for a few years now, and the care I have received is very good. The carers always do the things I ask them to do, and are dressed in their uniform, also masks.
Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback; we are pleased to provide you with a service you are happy with.
Mum and dad are both cared for by New Concept Care & Nursing. The staff are very helpful and are always kind and polite. They try to attend at the times to suit mum and dad's needs. They only alter the attendance times if the staff are poorly or if staff are on their annual leave. My parents have more confidence living alone in their home knowing the care team are always due to call, around four times daily. They are also aware New Concept Care & Nursing can be called upon at any time.
Thank you for your review, your positive feedback is greatly appreciated. We are proud to have had such a positive impact on your family's confidence allowing them to live more independently within their own home.
The carers are always very helpful and polite. Very thorough with the job they have to do. I have no complaints about the service provided.
Thank you for your kind words. It's a pleasure to be able to provide your care service.

Hi, I’m Sue. I’m the registered manager and have worked for NCCN since 2002 when Jays Home Care was acquired.
I became interested in the health and social care sector when I suddenly needed to provide care for my mother following the sudden and unexpected death of my father, leading to my mother moving in with me and my young family due to her diagnosis of early onset dementia and being unable to live independently. My personal experience sparked my fascination with adult health and social care so I joined a local domiciliary company as a result.
Beginning my career as a support worker in the community gaining experience and knowledge through work-based learning and constantly updating my knowledge through CPD, utilising every opportunity for development and growth. Utilising my skills and knowledge I began taking on more responsibilities such as delivering training and was promoted into more senior roles as a care coordinator, office manager and finally the company registered manager for both branches. Qualifying in the Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, Moving and Handling, Risk Assessments and First Aid Train the Trainer.
I’m incredibly passionate about the company and my role within it. There isn’t a typical day at NCCN, I enjoy every aspect of my responsibilities particularly problem solving, I relish the variety of challenges I can be faced with.
Over the years I have met some inspirational and knowledgeable people who I have drawn from to help grow the business alongside my own skill set.
We are incredibly fortunate at NCCN to have an incredibly dedicated team and it’s a privilege to work alongside each and every one of them. I value everyone’s contribution throughout the company from the support workers in the community to the office-based teams, we wouldn’t be able to offer high-quality service without the commitment shown daily. This has been proven particularly over the last 12-18 months through the resilience and unwavering strength we have seen displayed by team members.
Away from work, you will find me spending time with my family and taking care of my horse.
Hi, I’m Andrew the Managing Director and I have worked within the company for over 20 years. There have been a lot of changes in health and social care over the years but, I’m proud to say that NCCN has always been a leader in the field. Our success is based purely on the excellent people that we employ and the dedication, care and commitment that they give to our Service Users.
The company was started by my Mother, Mary who was a Nurse she is retired now but the values and philosophy that she started the business with are still strong in the Management team's minds. I joined the company after completing my degree in Business Management at Newcastle and then my Post Grad Diploma in HR. I helped with our first major acquisition - Jays Home Care in Pocklington, in 2002 - we still have some staff who transferred from Jays working with us now!
I’m also a Director of the Independent Care Group in North Yorkshire promoting best practices and providing a valuable voice for the independent care sector. The pandemic has proven the need for care providers to work together and speak with one voice so that we can achieve the reform to the Social Care system that is so desperately needed.
I’m so proud of our staff team, over the last 18 months, things have been really difficult for everyone. However, everybody at NCCN has stood up to the challenge and everyone has faced up to the dangers and challenges that covid has posed remarkably. I can’t thank all our staff enough, what an amazing team achievement keeping our service users safe.
In my spare time, I like travelling with my family (not much of that happening at the moment!), eating out, gardening and walking in the country.
I have worked as a Receptionist at the NCCN Selby branch, for almost 8 years. I am responsible for reception duties, such as meeting and greeting visitors, answering the telephone, directing calls, taking messages, and dealing with general enquiries.
A large part of my role is administration, some of my duties include; taking meeting minutes, recruitment, monitoring staff training, updating staff and Service User records, auditing files, and ensuring all required documentation is present and valid.
I have worked in care for 15 years, firstly as a care worker, I then attended York St John’s University and gained my degree in Applied Health and Social Science, during that time I worked in Dementia care settings, acquired brain injuries and Learning disability services. I went on to work for a charity for people with learning disabilities supporting members in the Care Quality Commission Experts by Experience programme.
At NCCN we are lucky to have an excellent team of care workers who strive to deliver the very best domiciliary home care for our Service users.
In my private time, I enjoy days out walking with my family and when the time allows baking.
Hi, I’m Nik. I’m the Payroll Officer for New Concept Care and Nursing, and I have worked here for 5 years. During my time I have developed my knowledge of payroll to a higher level and make sure I keep up to date with the current legislation.
I have worked in finance for over 20 years covering all aspects of accounts and payroll services.
I have previously managed large payrolls but NCCN is the largest payroll I’ve run and I have really enjoyed the challenge and deadlines that have to be met each week. It can on occasion be quite demanding meeting those deadlines but I always receive help and support from our brilliant finance team.
Hi, my name is Emma and I am the Nurse Consultant for New Concept Care and Nursing working across the Market Weighton and Selby branches. I have worked here since 2018 and I have loved every minute. NCCN is a very supportive workplace and I work with a fab bunch of people.
My other roles within NCCN are the Medication and First Aid trainer, including Mental Health First Aider.
Hi, my name’s Wren and I’m the Assessment and Review Officer for New Concept Care and Nursing; I have worked here since 2019.
When I joined NCCN, I received excellent training to be able to fulfil my role and responsibilities as an Assessment Officer and since then, I have built my confidence and knowledge with the support of my colleagues and team. My additional roles within the company are the Moving & Handling and Medication Assessor and Trainer – which are one of my favourite aspects of my job – including additional Falls Prevention training and a Level 1 in British Sign Language. I am proud to work for a company which also actively supports and advocates inclusivity and diversity within the workplace and community.
