Whereas communication can be awkward, overall carer relationship was good.
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback.
An hour a day, 5 days a week in just four weeks: My long neglected maisonette has lost its deep patina of dust, my carpets have never been so clean, my shower sparkles. I no longer dread weekends when I had to take my rubbish out - my carer and I bag it together but my carer carries it down a ramp and into the bins. I seek to do the onerous tasks like the food waste bin - but am overridden.
I'm aware that my carer is continually assessing me (!!) and checking that I'm good to go. My breakfast is cooked and served - I'm in a rut, eat an easy over-fried egg and toasted waffle every morning, plus a mug of coffee, black, half a teaspoon of sugar, level teaspoon of instant coffee, plus a yogurt or piece of fruit. All sussed by my carers and provisioned with a smile.
Thank you very much for your feedback, it's nice to hear you are happy with our service.
We have just started to use Oxford House Community Care for my mum. We have been very pleased with our care. The team have been very helpful. My mum has a regular carer which is essential for dementia patients. The carer is excellent and treats Mum with dignity, and is kind and self-motivated.
We will share your comments with the regular carer.
Please pass on my thanks to her and wish her all the best with her career... she told me she wants to train in nursing. She would be excellent in nursing.
Thank you very much for your feedback. We will share this with the carer.
Having promised my husband I would care for him at home in his last months, I could not have managed his needs without the help and support of Oxford House. Their carers are calm, professional, compassionate and always reliable. The backup office team are unfailingly helpful in liaising with other health service providers and always having time to listen to concerns and problems, often offering solutions and good advice. The training is excellent, and I thank the whole team for aiding me through this difficult time.
Wishing you all the best.
Carers come at the right time. They're helpful, I look forward to them coming. It's company for a little while.
I am pleased you are satisfied with our service.
Positive points of Managerial staff are: ready to listen, consistent helpful attitude to put things right, to ensure smooth transition of any changes in health.
We are pleased that you feel the team support you.
I love all my carers. During covid they put their lives at risk and recently with the hot weather they were fantastic.
It is nice to know all their hard work is appreciated.
Service overall is adequate - some carers are very good, others are just satisfactory.
Our area supervisor will follow up on your comments.
Staff were very informative and took the time to find out all that they needed to know to help the client - from management to carers level. Staff kept in touch to see if any more help was needed. Suggestions of any equipment that could help more (especially with mobility) was quickly forthcoming. I did not need four calls per day, but the morning call was extremely helpful, but I could ask for more calls if required.
The administration department dealt effectively and with patience and understanding to our various date changes caused by operation cancellations. All the carers were polite, friendly and understanding of our circumstances. They had a very good understanding of what was required to get my wife to bed each evening and carried out their tasks with kindness and efficiency. One, in particular, had a very good personal relationship with my wife, and it was a pleasure to hear them laughing together.
The carers are caring and helpful and I cannot praise them too highly for their professionalism. Overall, I am very pleased with the service I receive from Oxford House Community Care.
We continue to be very pleased with the care provided to my mother in her own home. Her carer is more like a friend and is a very welcome visitor. Our mother is able to stay in her own home and can manage well with the support her carer provides on a daily basis. The carer is very reliable, caring and will always go the extra mile to ensure our mother is safe and well.
I do not have enough praise for this wonderful care company. Oxford House have been looking after my father for many years, the last few being even more challenging. The care staff are amazing, so caring and kind.
Most recently the 'Registered Manager' has gone above and beyond not only to care for my father's needs but also my mother's welfare. Thank you so much, I cannot thank you enough, Oxford House are extremely lucky to have you with your amazing organisational skills, compassion and care.
Very good.
I cannot fault the care and service that my mum gets from Oxford House. The team are excellent. The carers are reliable and do their job to the highest standard. Any issues are relayed to me promptly via the office team. My mum is in safe hands with them, and that is a high level of reassurance to both my mum and I.
We, as a family, are more than happy with the care they give our mother. Very helpful. Also friendly.
I find my carers very helpful and kind, always help me if I need it. Very happy.
Very helpful, always ready to help. As our father-in-law lives with us, we see if first hand, the kind of care he is given. Very happy with the type of care given.
The change in management has seen a huge improvement in communication, empathy and care, especially as my husband has dementia and is in poor health. In particular, the manager and 2 other staff members from Oxford House Carers really do have his best interests at heart and have been excellent and finding 2 carers perfect for him. I used to feel anxious calling the office to discuss my husband's care but now, when I call the office, I am listened to as I know what’s best for my husband and know Mr Gilani is well cared for. The carers are eligible for 5 stars and are doing a perfect job professionally.
