The care my mom receives is friendly, consistent and reliable. The staff are generally attentive and always responsive. Management is also good and flexible for our requirements, as well as being good communicators. The care app has also proved to be a useful resource, and backs up the quality of the care.
It's a good service to work with and provides everything you need for reliable care in the home. Can't fault them.
My mom loves the carers that look after her and they take time to chat to her.

The team are easy to get hold of either by telephone or e mail.
They are flexible if visits have to change sometimes.

The sitting service for my husband was organised extremely well with professionalism from all involved from Adult services the Carers hub and Crossroads. All involved including the sitter were very kind, helpful, thoughtful and caring. It made a big difference to me being a 24 hour carer for 3 years and having been stressed and depressed for the last 8 months. I was able to go out and have time to myself knowing my husband was safe at home with the carer. I thoroughly recommend them to all in need of help.
Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience of our respite care. We're so pleased to hear that you have been able to have some time to yourself and felt reassured that your husband is in safe hands.
There was an initial home visit which was extremely well handled and useful.
The carers (two were experenced) were well trained, skilful and sympathetic.
My wife was initially nervous about a stranger coming into our home but soon struck up a good friendship.
Would have no hesitation about using the service again if the local authority provided the funding or would self-fund if there was an essential reason.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our respite service and your kind words about our team members. We are delighted to hear that your wife was happy with the carers who spent time with her and the positive relationship she built with them.

The gentleman who came to sit with my husband was very respectful, kind and understanding, my husband can be difficult (!!) but the carer calmed him down and my husband was happy for me to leave (never happens!)
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and your kind words about our Care Support Worker. We're really pleased to hear that he was able to make your husband feel at ease and you were able to get some time to yourself.
My father is the main carer of my housebound mother. As such , he is compelled to also stay in their house. "Crossroads" offered help by sending a carer to sit with my mother and keep her company whilst I took my father out on day trips. They were very thorough in setting up the sessions. The women they sent were punctual, polite and friendly. It was a very helpful service and we are all thankful for the help they gave us.
After a few years of caring for Mom by myself her condition deteriorated and I realized I needed help, this was hard decision to make for Mom and myself letting strangers into my home to care for moms personal needs, Mom can't do anything for herself so it's a hard job , dressing washing transferring from bed to chair, pad changing toileting meals etc ,,we took the plunge and contacted adult services that didn't go too well, but then I came across crossroads, from my first enquiry I was asked a lot of questions all about moms needs and the families , I immediately knew they were going to be thorough, they helped me arrange the equipment that was needed and we all sat down together to talk about care plans no details were left out no questions unanswered, once our care started i felt a massive amount of relief, the ladies came in and out doing the hardest of jobs with ease , chatty friendly and very reassuring, we feel very comfortable letting these ladies into our lives thank you
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this lovely review. We understand that it can be an anxious time when considering care for a family member. We're so pleased to hear that we have been able to put you at ease and coordinate the necessary equipment and care package for your mother. It's always nice to receive such positive feedback, and I will be sure to pass this on to the team.

I am taking advantage of your 6 week respite arrangements. My wife has advanced Alzheimers and I am her carer. This is the first time we have been apart and I was nervous about the arrangement although I needed it. However having had the benefit of 3 visits from a particular carer so far I am very pleased with the outcome which has enabled me to have a break and also to do a few things requiring attention at home. My wife has been peaceful and relaxed under the carer's careful and warm company.
Thank you for your kind review. We are so pleased to hear that your anxieties about leaving your wife in someone else's hands have been relieved and that you both feel comfortable and happy with our care. It is so important that you are able to take a break, for your own health and wellbeing.
Cannot fault the carers that looked after dad caring, compassionate and helpful, even in very difficult circumstances as his condition deteriorated.
We really appreciate your kind words, thank you. We're glad to have been able to support your dad and your family at such a difficult time and I will pass on your comments to the team.
A really useful service to give carers regular respite.
